I heard it recently at about 5.20 one morning on Radio 4, quite a nostaligic if monotonous experience...

On this day 78 years ago, my Mum was born. Coincidentally Neville Chamberlain declared war on Germany on the same day. My mum assures me that the two events are unrelated, but I remain to be convinced. Anyway, great excuse to roast a massive prime rib of beef and gather the clan together.
