This could be on a different thread, he was actually born in Hungary moved to the UK to escape the Nazi's. According to some on here, he shouldn't have been representing the uk.

Our current best two (Drinkhall and Pritchard) have had more success than most since Douglas. Both have had notable scalps over the last few years (including against the top Chinese). The sport lost all funding for 2012 and have had little since. It meant these two had to move abroad to ensure quality training and coaching.

My first name thought of was Desmond Douglas, who was tops when I was growing up and playing a bit. Then I thought of Chester Barnes - a colourful story he had. Then I worked back to Viktor Barna.

If nothing else, seeing "Tokyo 2020" in the background, at least helps us empathise with @askewshair when he's watching the football on-line. <ok>

He doesn’t want to be disturbed until he finds out whether we got promoted or not…

Meanwhile getting back to the recently finished Olympics, I happened across a certain German athlete's TikTok account yesterday. I may have dwelled for a minute admiring her excellent training routine and discipline. Alica Schmidt if you're interested.

British sprinter CJ Ujah has been suspended from competition after testing positive for a banned substance.
Ujah, 27, was part of Team GB men's 4x100m relay team which won silver at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics this month.

He’s British so I imagine he took the wrong asthma medication
    Nothing to see here

Gutted for the 3 lads who ran with him, heart breaking for them to have a Silver medal taken off them due to their team mate's idiocy

He failed to understand the coaches instructions.
The mini-syringe was hidden in the baton. He drained it in the first leg.

Just seen some footage of him on Sky news, he looked off head on something.

    Maybe that's his natural look.

Read a comment in one paper where someone said his name wasn't familiar. Liked the reply "Up north we call that an Uuja McCallitt."
