Want to say how pleased I am that Murray is getting a medal. Loved the difference between the crowd and the usual one at Wimbledon. Normally you get tennis afficionados who support Nadal, Federer etc, but this time there was no such ambivalence and Murray loved it. Every time the crowd was told off for not being totally fair, Murray had a little secret smile. The crowd carried him to victory.

Morning Fran. I was amazed the Beeb gabve preference to the Athletics annd Ennis over Murray. Maybe if he can geta gold some of the negativity around him will go away.

Athletics is always the centrepiece of the games...shame we don't win too many medals in track and field. Trouble with games like tennis, football and hockey is that you have to show it in its entirety...you can't flick around like swimming and athletics. It's better suited for BBC3 or on the red button...trouble is that means many who stick with BBC1 will tend to miss it

P.s. Good morning.

Super Saturday today 20+ medlas up for granbs. We look good again in rowing and cycling and should get a couple in the athletics with Ennis and Farah.

I've been sent a crummy seat at the back, but I'm sure I will be able to move forward a bit. Am really looking forward to it, because it will be a while before I can go again. I know its a friendly (my son turned down my offer of a free ticket!!), but I want to see the new players.

Yep don't understand why some people hate friendlies. Chance to see the whole squad play with no pressure and you won't feel suicidal if we lose!

What day did you go? I was there on Weds and found the total opposite. Working on the games does make me biaised though!

2nd day mate! We were ok going to the game, because there were banners saying where to get off, but it seemed they don't give a **** once you and your money has left!

It was quite funny that, during the 2nd day, they had run out of loads of stuff already. Some of these people in charge really are genii...

I have a cracking friend whose down there now, so anybody who needs his help will have a substantially better experience with the volunteers than I did!

Went to volleyball yesterday, not of the beach variety but of the normal variety. I'd watched a bit of it but I thought rallies were much shorter than in beach volleyball but actually there were some fantastic rallies including lots of diving (which seeing as it was on sand, I wasn't expecting). Unfortunately both games finished in straight sets which kinda sucked! Would have been nice for a 5 set thriller!

And I saw AMY MACDOANLD at Hyde Park! It was amazing!
