It'd be an exciting signing for definite. I do wonder if its potentially one who could block the pathway for Chris Rigg though? Similar kind of players? Have both? Who knows.

Future England midfield duo, sounds good to me although seems unlikely given the other interest in Bellingham and the constant speculation about Rigg.

Jobe would be an awesome statement of intent. But he’s just signed a new long term deal at Birmingham that was intended, as all quotes at the time said, to ensure that Birmingham got a proper transfer fee for him rather than just a few million tribunal.

So I don’t understand why Birmingham would be selling him for anything we’d be willing to pay. They’re much better off developing him and trying there repeat the Jude success.

Jobe was an option for us before he signed that pro deal (like the Chris Rigg situation), but now that he has I can’t see how the deal happens and makes sense for Birmingham

I’ve got no reason to not believe the OP as he’s been a great poster for quite a while, so not saying he’s lying. Just that I’m struggling to believe it, especially when combined with Jude’s conversational knowledge about of areas around Sunderland :D would be ****ing brilliant if it’s all true and I’ve underestimated Jude!!!
