When there's anything contentious like a serious VAR mistake, posts are always made days or week later. Doesn't happen a lot but it does happen. I just did a quick random click on two match threads from the beginning of this year (January 2025).The first was Ipswich at home and someone went back in days later to post that the game had made the new club attendance record. The second one was v Brentford and the last post in that thread was 5 days after the game.
As I said, I would have spoken up if I'd been that bothered. I'm only saying what I think now because saint brought it up and it gave me an opportunity to have a moanbecause I don't think merging them is a good idea.
So, in consensus, we're all declaring Tiresias a ****
On paper we should be strong for Sunderland,but, sadly it does not usually work that way.I am expecting a win anyway.

Robbo instead of Kerkez otherwise same team as West Ham. Hopefully Grav will protect the back four to make us more solid
So what are the odds on Gomez being out for 6 weeks after playing twice in 4 days despite not starting for about a year .

Salah bench again… same forward line deserve to start again but hope doesn’t turn into Salah distraction
It will in the media which can't be helped. The players need to insulate themselves from the distraction.
The side felt pretty balanced against West ham but this will be a bigger test.

What did Sir Bob Paisley used to say; let the player lose his legs on someone else's pitch. Unfortunately, we've not done that with Salah imo. I understand it though, he was brilliant last season.

Been ok. Yes, been slow but trying to be patient as Sunderland just have 12 behind the ball anytime get into their half. Hard to play quick when that is the case.

Ekitike is a better fit for how we play. I'm not sure this team know how to get the best out of Isak yet.

Sunderland player goes slips in the box when blocking cross and immediately grabs his head knowing more likely to get the game stopped.
FA need to do something about players trying to con refs in those situations.
force players off for a 2 minutes concussion check if you go down holding head or something. Otherwise it’s such an easy way out of a dangerous situation.
