He never denied it and went from a club where he was 'loved' and scored goals to a total ****ing disaster.

Mignolet didn't deny it either. He went from a club where he was 'loved' and was counted one of the best goalies in the country to being as close to the Anfield door as Bent is at Villa Park.

I'm not anti-Sunderland. I'm anti not taking a seasoned striker on a six month loan when we're short of goals for the sake of sheer prejudice.

Mignolet moved from us to a club which had been on the fringes of European qualification for years. He did it in the close season. We had plenty of time to look for a replacement. He went to a "better" club, and sure, got more money. He no more left us in the **** than he left Sint-Truden in the **** when he moved to us.

B€nt went to a club in a relegation scap, like us at the time (and now). He did it in January. We couldn't get a replacement at the time, and we could argue that we're still looking. He got more money, at a relegation-threatened rival, and I reckon $£€ was the main reason. He's a ****er and deserves all the abuse he gets. Hope Derby send him back and he ends up at Darlo.

Bent's last game for Sunderland was at home to Newcastle on 23rd January, 2011. We were sixth in the PL at that time, and remained sixth until the middle of February when we dropped to seventh. So we were in anything but a relegation scrap at the time. As for a replacement, we already had Asamoah Gyan and Frazier Campbell on the books.

So Bent left for a humongous club that has fought relegation, ever since, while Bent couldn't get a game ........ but I'm blind <laugh>

He left to join a relegation threatened team that had two of Capello's pets in the squad. His eight goals between January and May probably saved them. Initially, he lost his place through injury, and couldn't it back because Benteke was playing out of his skin (a bit like the Gordon-Mignolet situation). You're not too blind to know these things - you don't want to see. <laugh>

My comment was tongue in cheek marra.... I despise B£nt and wouldn't waste my breath arguing about him.
