Awfully nice of Hamilton testing the Sauber for them...

Had a spare morning, saw a empty silver car and just went for it.

Theory, what happens if Renault won't continue with the season in fear of the engine damaging their image, would Ferrari and Mercedes be forced to provide the other teams engines in fear of the season?

I think chickening out after all that investment would hurt their image more. The engines aren't supposed to be changed over the season but we all know they will be.

I imagine they are contractually obliged to continue, so pulling out wouldn't be an option. I expect they're maneuvering for more development.

Surely they'd be in breach of contract if they pulled out? Besides which, I agree that doing so would be waaay more negative publicity than simply having unreliable engines.

They must have tested the 'power-trains' extensively on the dyno, so why suddenly are they having so many issues, or is it simply they've always had the issues but can't get to the bottom of them.

It's okay, Cosworth have got a V6 turbo built (and not even one the dates back to 1987). Wonder if we'll see that slotted in anywere?

Oh, yes. They're good at that after all their whining that their V8's weren't as good as Merc & Ferrari's a few years ago, so got given lots of concessions to 'equalise' the units.

If they haven't got it right. Tough ****. The others have managed to.

Seems the finger is still a bit stiff from last year.

'@JensonButton is happy with progress so far, says it feels like car has a lot of power. Drivers are very busy in the cockpit

Why's he got flo-vis on his helmet?

Also, perhaps Vettel was given the early days of testing the Red Bull because they felt Ricciardo would need the most time to get up to speed.
