Just wonder how long Nick will be given before the pack of wolves start circling for his blood if a few results don't go our way?:(

I think its more likely the Allams who will get it in the neck if Barmby doesn't do so well, but he'll get more of a chance to prove himself than if we'd appointed anyone else.

I would hope that if Barmby dosnt do well, then both parties take it on the chin and let him slide down to assistant manager instead of giving him the boot

one warning Nicky.... Hang up your boots mate and concentrate on the job in hand.

not needed...YET. When his No.2 arrives and NB is fit to play NB still needs to be ready to do his 20 min cameo when required. The man is class still. But i guess if NB does not oplay then the team will be doing well. NB retirement from playing is not important at the moment. He has to remain as flexable as possible for the moment.

whiolst i thank NP for turning the club around and bringing in quality players - I am now glad he has gone. He did what was needed but NB is the man to take this bunch forward. NB ticks all the boxes and lacks just one thing ? experience as a manager. well he now starts to get that starting now. UTT barmby army barmby army.

Hopefully now some of the bad blood between the clubs can cool now until next month when we meet at your place

Good luck for the season

<ok>

what bad blood. its called wum - ing foxy. i thank NP for what he did but am glad you have him back.
Hull City have there man and you have yours. Let the race to the PL begin. One things for sure though. Barmby will be Hull City manager longer than Pearson will last with you. Thats not sour grapes just a fact of reality. Pearsons bank manager will be happy chappy this morning. good luck foxes - the pressure is on you now. lol.

He's only gone for the ladyboys.

From what I understand after Joyce turned us down and Nick was going to be the assistant he was offered the Manager job on a permanent basis but it was Nick himself that asked for it to be a caretaker position with a view to being permanent

on the return of Nige I overheard (ok i was listening in) two lads yesterday planning to throw monopoly money at Nige as he got off the coach and then again in the stadium

It's funny how I used to kick a ball about with Nick outside his dad's shop after school and now he's the City manager.

I feel very old all of a sudden.

Wasn't that on the corner of County Road North and National Ave?

I used to live in West Ella and had the odd chat with Nick when he used to walk Jack round The Fairway on his trike.

just wait till prime ministers and presidents are younger than you!

Even worse when you realise that you use to stand on Bunkers Hill and watch Nick's dad play for the Tigers <yikes>

Will it not be even worse in a few years when we get Nick Jnr (sorry can't remember his actual name) on loan and you can turn to the person next to you and go "I remember going to BP to watch his granddad play for us"?

Also, if that happens, how many clubs have had 3 generations of the same family all play for them?
