Skrtel Lovren Johnson are just interested in passing amongst themselves or launching long aimless long balls. Mario as a lone striker does not work. Sterling wasted out wide - Rodgers, how can you not see that this does not work??
That is why I can't stand Skrtel! Back off from 50 yards away from goal, keep backing off, keep backing off until he gets to the edge of his area and then can't back off anymore so has to commit himself and give away the foul.
Need more drive from the central midfield. Need Coutinho deeper to drive the ball forward from centre midfield.
All of this huffing and puffing about the Gerrard contract, best thing that can happen is that he leaves/retires at the end of the season.
