I think Coutinho surely has played his way into the starting line up though, as he has been brilliant in the past few games.

And I hope Johnson does not start ahead of Moreno or Manquillo. Manquillo for me has been our best defender by a mile.

Tobes is never happy with reality

  6. I love Coutinho but I think he's also a predictable player. I usually know what he is going to do when he receives the ball and it doesn't help that he always wants that right foot. No that we have many others that are less predictable; Sturridge and Sterling are perhaps the only two although they too are always wanting their favoured foot too.

If he learns to cross we'd be happier.

maybe Borini can do the crossing training and show the rest how it's done.

Also, will everyone please stop f**ing shooting when there are better options, any tim anyone gets even near the 18 yard they blast it into the stands

Newcastle are starting to hit form

The pressure is a bit lower now on Pardew

Let's see if he plays a weak team tonight. Newcastle are safe and the League Cup is the best chance for Newcastle to win something, but lots of managers are ******s and think getting smashed somehow guarantees no injuries in the future.

    I'll take a 0-2 win now

  10. Problem last night was the better options were Borini or Markovic most of the time <laugh>

  11. Newcastle are on ten points and just three points ahead of QPR in nineteenth. How the hell are they safe? <laugh>

I hate the high shots. Keep it down or **** off. It's absolutely criminal because not only can't you not score, you also make it impossible to win a corner or get a lucky deflection or force the opponents to make a mistake

    Wide is better than high

They've had a **** start to the season and still got 6 teams below them

    Pretty safe to me <ok>

  14. That can easily be countered by pointing at Pardew <laugh>

    Bump <24 hours to game

Sturridge out for at least 10 more days
    Enrique out

Sahko still out even though he should be back already

That means we've a lot of options just none fantastic

I hope we pack midfield up and compete here cos newkie will kick our arses for us

    My Rodgers prediction is 4-3-3

    Mingolet
    Johnson Skertl lovern Moreno
    Allen Gerrard Henderson
    Sterling badontelly coutinho

Personally I think it's too risky to start can and markovic can't be considered. Borini should make the bench if Rodgers has a clue

I fear coutinho might be relegated to the bench again though....

I'm not convinced they miss on purpose, tbh.

I would like to see Borini start up top alone. Some energy at least.
Anyway, I'm not too confident with Newcastle hitting form and all and us having bigger games next. However, I am optimistic and think we will draw. 1-1 for me.

We'll have confidence after the Swansea game. Must stress again how much I hope we play the diamond though...

I'd like to see Borini start but I'm not sure about on his own. Balotelli got a goal and if he can get another today it could do a lot for him and our season. Plus Balotelli seems better with a strike partner.
