Very good Liverpool performance, Spurs have been absolute gash though

Henderson has had the best 45 I've seen from him

get in son!!

hope we don't try and soak up pressure now and keep positive, there's a few more goals for us here if we play smart.

They seem much more capable of the tight, short passing.

It was something Henry (arsenal) said when he was near the end of his career there, that every would pass to him, even if it wasnt the best option because of who he was. It might be the same with Gerrard. There may be a unspoken pressure that causes problems with the short crisp passing.

On paper they have a good team & one of the strongest squads in the division but they play with no tempo.

I'll be brutally honest with you, I think Lucas is a fairly average DM and has zero positional sense. He needs to be more aware of where the opponents are and stick to his zone. You watch a player like Busquets, and you see his head swivel like an owl, constantly being aware of where the opponents are and anticipating moves. In contrast I rarely see Lucas watch over his shoulders.

He's like a school boy attracted to where ever the ball is. Thus leaving huge gaps behind him. He really has to improve his positioning.

Stop ****ing moaning we're WINNING

Good stuff, pressing them really well and forcing mistakes.

One of our best 45 mins. this season.

Lets keep this up in the second half :1980_boogie_down:

Hendo, Flanagan, Sterling superb. (Not a sentence I ever thought I'd say). I've been hugely critical of Flanno and Raheem but they've both been fantastic today.

As for Hendo, some of his Gerrard-esque balls today have been unbelievable.

Special mentions to Cout and Allen too. Wonderful first half.

Great first half but need keep it up, don't sit back. Refs been poor though, blowing for everything

What is it with North Londoners that they love booing their own team at half time?

Yeh it seems that way. More of a midfield unit than two players supporting Gerrard.
