Sometimes these games we seem to step it up anyway. But with the midfield of Lucas, Allen and Hendo we seem to have bags of energy.

It was something Henry (arsenal) said when he was near the end of his career there, that every would pass to him, even if it wasnt the best option because of who he was. It might be the same with Gerrard. There may be a unspoken pressure that causes problems with the short crisp passing.
On paper they have a good team & one of the strongest squads in the division but they play with no tempo.

Hendo, Flanagan, Sterling superb. (Not a sentence I ever thought I'd say). I've been hugely critical of Flanno and Raheem but they've both been fantastic today. As for Hendo, some of his Gerrard-esque balls today have been unbelievable. Special mentions to Cout and Allen too. Wonderful first half.
