Why not put it to a vote and let the board decide whether there is a dedicated politics thread or anything else.

Alternatively, let it happen and the people that would have voted no can self moderate and stay away from it.

If we had one people could talk about it on there. Those purportedly not interested could stay off it. I am not interested in cricket, the NFL and some of the other threads on here so stay off them. But you can bet the ones like Chazz and his mates would be on straight away as they can’t stand the thought of anyone having different opinions to their little clique.
