I did. They were around with the Law, Best & Charlton team at Man U, Shankley's Liverpool & the "Swinging 60s" Chelsea team and suffered from the comparison. I know Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea had hard men, but they played fair first and dirty second. With that Leeds team it was the other way round.
At least Leeds have heard of Hull

Hunter broke Kerr's legs, I was at that game, they were a dirty team but in a way played great football too. The game was a lot harder back then, hence why lads like Ian Ure made it..
The 73 final was like Gateshead playing Man City, there was no chance we could win and I remember everyone going down 'for the day out'.
Beating them was one of the greatest upsets in history.
Leeds were a team of internationals at the top of their game and usually devastating.
I would stick Clarke in as well mate.
Can't actually think of a weak spot in that team then.

The river Hull is the result of various sewers and drainage channels that empty into the Humber.
The city is actually called Kingston and the club have almost always been called the Tigers .......... you can't logically call the club Hull City as there's no such thing

And in between they played some magnificent football closest thing to "total football" I had seen before the 70s Dutch team.

I must say that one of the funniest things I have seen on a pitch was Bremner and Keegan making twats of themselves at the Charity Shield. I was only 11 and couldn't work out why we weren't there, having just won the Cup anarl. ****ed up the occasion nicely....
