**** off ............

I had a right go at the team and Smug after we got beat off Villa, however after a concerted barrage from Smug I felt a bit more optimistic than I had for a while and by Sunday morning the gloom was behind me.

If I'm on "the list" I'm on " the list" - I would rather we had a laugh about this when safety is assured.

Cant see how anybody can take the piss out of your optimism! Its your optimism thats helped me through the season! At times i think your optimism is bloody mad, but i certainly respect you for it!

They do mate, which is why I feel totally justified in posting this thread.

I repeat, **** YOU, if you claimed we were down and took the piss out of anyone who disgareed.

Why is it that pessimists believe that only they can be realists ......... why can't optimists be realists, eh?

I've not been doom and gloom mongering if that's what you mean, although I have been just as concerned as other fans about our league position.

Just feel this thread is in piss poor taste like, no true fan enjoys the situation we are in and can only say things as they see it. To criticise them for that is poor form really imo.

Obviously there are a few wums on here who are an exception to this.

And they're the type I'm referring to mate .......... those and the people who take the piss out of optimists like me.

If they can take the piss out of me, when it suits them, then why can't I ............. is there 1 rule for them and 1 for the likes of me?

If we are talking about the likes of Monty and NOFUSSWITHGUS then fair enough. But personally I wouldn't give them the time of day.

If not them who? Name and shame.

This and This, sorry if that upsets you Cest.

Doesn't upset me at all pal, I just watched my team win away from home today in superb style. I am chuffed to **** tonight and I'm sure most like minded fans will be celebrating together and not trying to stick two fingers up at half of them to suggest they are better fans all the time. Its what proper fans do best, celebrate the good times.

Not upset but equally not surprised that the OP posted it, as its what he like doing best, nor that you almost broke a leg supporting him? Just wished you had an independent thought now and again which would befit a clever lad with many things of interest generally to say. Your servantile like behaviour when it come to your unrelenting attempts at pleasing Smug is a little nauseating at times thats all.

This!

I'm taking each game as it comes! After Villa i was doom and gloom and i felt really let down and very upset! Tonight I'm happy and feel like we have a good chance of stopping up! Its all part and parcel of supporting a struggling premier league side! I, like the typical football fan, am very fickle! Cant help it!
well said good lad

Mind I have never taken the piss out of people for there optimism....

For the first time in a long time I will be reading the match reports in the Sunday papers.

Let me make this clear mate.

I don't have a problem with opinions or fickle or upset or downhearted ....... my problem is with people who take the piss out of those who keep the faith.

Now I'm taking the piss out of them and am happy to do so.

If the people on my list, or those who support them like Cest, are upset then ............. my work here is done <laugh>

Pathetic, truly pathetic.

Cant see how anybody can take the piss out of your optimism! Its your optimism thats helped me through the season! At times i think your optimism is bloody mad, but i certainly respect you for it!

This exactly, I have had my spats with Smug and Bri in the past, but I always look forward to their optimistic posts when results have gone against us.

Keep up the good work.

The thing is mate, and I say this after 40 years of running buses, minibuses and cars out of Mansfield, the people who whinge & moan & pull people down are the first to say, "Yes, I said we'd get battered or be relegated but let's all be lovely Sunderland supporters together and forget what a miserable bastard I was and how I destroyed the mood among us all."

We all have a responsibility to maintain the faith and those who fall short have let everyone else down in my opinion.

If others disagree then tough **** .......... just ignore me and go on someone else's bus <laugh>

That's my point mate ....... it's a piece of piss being a pessimistic miserable ****er isn't it?

Much harder to grit yer teeth and get everyone up for the next challenge ....... any whingers, on my coach, would be told they weren't welcome.

Like I said mate, **** them all and I don't care how many people I upset like that Safc83 knacker.

This 'let's forgive & forget, we're all Sunderland supporters together' **** doesn't work with me ........... you took the piss out of us and the club when it suited you.

It suits me to tell you to **** off now <ok>

You should have quit while you were ahead, it seems other posters are getting tired of your constant drivel <ok>

Just so I am clear about this thread -is the main thrust about those who post their disappointment about some of our dire performances are not allowed to share the euphoria of a class win?

Especially with a bloke who has stated that he is sick to death of hearing about '73.

You should have quit while you were ahead, it seems other posters are getting tired of your constant drivel <ok>

Some are, some aren't ............ they fall into two distinct categories.

I don't come on here to make friends or have people agree with me. I have my own opinions and don't just say things to suck up to people.

If you do then that's your business <ok>

You're still picking and choosing what to address and what ignore.

I've proved that to be bollocks. I only ever speak my own mind. As a result I have an off on relationship with many posters on here due to my independent mind and big mouth.

Again here's the post regarding that view point of yours.

Yes, you are the arse kisser I referred to. Have you ever had an independent thought without Smugs approval first?

Is that right? I seemed ok with my own opinion before Smug started posting regular. Remember? When you used to cry like a little bitch about your right of opinion just because I disagreed with you and backed it with a well constructed argument like I'm doing now and always do.

Just to blow that little petty comment of yours out of the water completely. Post #3 on this very thread is my copy and paste of my comment on this thread.

http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/245150-Time-to-get-behind-The-Lads-at-home

Posted a full 21 minutes before this thread was published.

Time to get behind the lads? The time was the first game against Fulham and should have been maintained. All of our own who wrote us off months ago should be ashamed. Personally I don't care if the time is now for them to change their tune. The was to much jumping ship at the sign of a repairable leak. Lucky they can reach the ladder and climb back aboard.

Edit: I don't mean you. You've only had 87 posts anyway. Just ranting. <ok>

It's nothing more than a coincidence that our views match on this matter and that is a fact. To prove we don't always agree here.

http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/244738-Bridcutt-Request-DENIED!

Shame on then for stunting the lads ambition. Fair do's if they were in the premiership but they're not, they need to accept that players will out grow them in the championship and they shouldn't stand in their way.

Don't agree mate, Brighton are surely showing ambition of their own.

Lots of clubs are. But it's not turning down an offer, it's a blatant block to keep a talented player who ambition and quality has out grown his own club's, even if if they do carry ambition. No problem in them driving the price up or even pricing us out of a move, but they're telling him personally point blank he can't continue his promising career elsewhere. I think it's harsh myself and they've shot themselves in the foot as a lack of ethical empathy for one of their own employee will probably be met with an unethical attitude from the player just like we've seen time and time again with this situation. Only Brighton will suffer here. I mean, they're sniffing about the playoffs but at present they can't guaranty or offer him anything more than championship football by keeping him.

Just because you're off and on the band wagon more times then my lass has been on and off the rag in her entire life, doesn't mean I'm a kiss arse for having an opinion with staying power that happens to agree with another poster who's opinions also have staying power. Do you want me to show you up any further? I could do this all day long.

Proof can be a right bitch can't it Cest? ;)

I find your claims to be absurd and contradicts every evaluation of my traits I've ever received regardless of weather it's been presented in the positive light it often is or in the negative light it more often is. I've been ridiculed and accused of denying peoples rights for my strong positive opinions and it does piss me off. It does not however piss me off on behalf of other posters.

No, that's totally wrong ......... perhaps you should read the OP and try again.

Well in your eyes I fell short last Saturday then.

Doom, frustration, gloom, relegation.......etc, etc,............just as much disappointment with that performance as there is elation with todays.

Just how I felt at the time Smug, but I can live with myself.
