Fair point mate. Guess the proof will be in the pudding. I always thought it would just be a fans bar for before and after the game for anyone to enter

Yeah me too. But now they are charging 60 quid a game with no ticket and 30 quick to upgrade your season ticket.

You get a programme. Not joking. A programme. 30 quid plus your season ticket. Absolute racket.

It would only be a racket if you didn't have a choice ...

... don't like it, don't go.

I won't. I told them that when I was there. But I am commenting to say that they have got the price point wrong, the seating wrong and the relocation of the BCB fans wrong.

As things stand that's just your opinion, not a fact ...

... there's a difference.

That's true. Just going off the people who were there and my opinion. It's rather informed as the people who had the choice for take this up were not doing so based on the reasons I provided.

Don't people have to book online?

No. Many people who were asked to come to look over the new facilities had people their going round, taking us on a tour of different options, price points etc. They were taking details and interest. There wasn't any when I was there. People were annoyed at the seat options for relocation and the fact that if in the PC it would be useless to use the hospitality for half time.

So no one was interested, it'll be unused and empty on match days ...

... fair enough.

No. When I was there, on this occasion people were not keen or interested. They are having multiple nights, showing specific groups round to try and encourage sales.

The link you posted is for people to try on a game but game basis this season. Not commitment for a season ticket for next year.

You keep to try and challenge what I am saying but you don't have any idea, you were not there, you don't know the packages they are offering etc. So just the information from someone that was and is informing on here 24 hours after.

When you're saying 'it's just a bar', it's a joke' 'the region will be priced out' and 'it's a racket' of course I'm challenging you ...

... because it's all anti-SAFC nonsense and totally ridiculous, how on earth can it be a racket?

I've no interest in Founders but it's for a tiny minority who'll make their own decisions on whether it suits them or not ...

... it doesn't suit you but no one is forcing you to go.

If it's not your thing why keep harping on about it, just go somewhere else as I will.

To be fair there are pubs all over town, and now Sheepfolds, if it's just a fans bar you want.

This is something different and wouldn't work if anyone could pile in.

Imagine getting to the stadium and being turned away because it was full of Millwall fans.

You'd have to turn round and go back into town or wherever.
Na because the club want the fans to drink in the bar, its revenue. If it’s promoted as that ppl would go and stay. It’s easy to state it’s a home fans bar. There’s a few at other clubs. Hull have one, just for away fans.

I am. The offer is poor.

That’s the chance you take mate ha, same as any other bar. What happens if you go to a night club and they say it’s full, you go to somewhere else ha

It's not the same though is it.

If you can't get into a bar in town you just go to the next.

Once you've arrived at Founders, an hour before kick off, and can't get in what are your choices?

And if you don't have to book it means you have to have two bouncers on the door controlling numbers and trying to prevent the away supporters, who's buses are parked opposite, from coming in. Do you let children in, can you get anything to eat, etc etc etc?

To be fair I wasn’t keen on the BCB either and this founders bar doesn’t sound like my cup of tea. 30 quid will get you a lovely pie from Proper and a drink or two.

club has to try new things though and above all it has to try and make money or it won’t be sustainable.

if people don’t like it don’t go but don’t relentlessly bemoan it, is what I say.

I didn't want to ever leave Roker Park but I don't whinge on day after day ...

... the club have to do everything possible to be sustainable and cater for every taste.

I'll probably never go to Founders but wouldn't dream of criticising anyone who does.
