This is worrying to say the least. This is fairly major news if true and thought local news and newspapers would be all over it if true. Hopefully nothing to see here!

The same site has this story about abusive chants at the Leeds game and the club facing possible sanctions by the EFL. First I have heard about it.

There's a new "story" from today about the club renaming the SOL. Honestly I've heard nothing of the sort and stuff like this just seems to be starting rumours, not reporting them. Looks like a ****e clickbait rumour site, possibly mag orientated.

If any of this was true it would be all over the mainstream media, as well as places like this, yet it's only on this site? And think, next August Sunderland holds the opening ceremony and opening game of the Women's Rugby World Cup, that wouldn't be happening if there were any doubts over the suitability and state of the SOL.

Not that I believe any of it, but in theory I could buy that new regulations could mean tweaks needed to safety barriers or something minor like that, but to suggest there's anything wrong with the basic steel structure of the stadium is nonsense. It's solid as a rock.

People go to bizarre lengths to fling **** online and that's all this is.

It's probably a bored teenager, just based on how the article is written and the site design.

Exactly....in other news whens Jan Koller arriving....that scenario showed it doesn't take much to get things into the mainstream....& Into more 'reputable' (debatable) sources than where tgis story is

That rumour started over the road. In fairness it was a well thought out piece of misinformation devised by a few forum members there.
