Afternoon gents. Keep seeing posts on the club LinkedIn that we’ve joined forces with such and such as a regional partner but there’s been more than a few now seems to be every few days there’s another. Sorry for my ignorance but do these partners do is it just a sort of gimmick that we’re in partnership with local businesses or is it done for a reason ie to boost revenue?

Bit of both, I'd say. It helps the club bringing some additional revenue, even if it's not a huge amount. Then it can raise the profile of the new partner through a bit of publicity, possibly a bit more effectively than an add campaign might, depending on what we're getting from them moneywise.

The 'Dell' people had all kinds of plans to engage local businesses, University, Council, etc, to help lobby for government money, promote local schemes, provide jobs, etc ...

... it's a shame the Euro money has gone imo. There were lots of issues but some of the things they were involved with suited places like Sunderland that London based Governments find easy to ignore.

Stadium of Light would probably never have been built without all the EU grants for building on the site of a disused colliery.

What a load of bollocks, it would have been all over local news if there was any truth in the matter.

Plus compared to some stadiums it looks brand new. Hasn't St James been suffering from structural issues for years with the concrete? Old Trafford literally has holes all over the roof. Just as examples.

True. The Geordie media would have it as main item, in depth report, sports headline a weather report if there was a hint of it being true.

Site was only registered in September 2023 using a very poor Wordpress template. Site menu list Coventry, Newcastle, Other or Tottenham as the main choices.
