So if the club announced they have found a manager/coach but he's in work, I know it happens all the time but we would be admitting we are tapping up a coach who is currently employed elsewhere.I've read that piece from Scott Wilson, its a good piece. I can't say I entirely agree with it but definitely see the argument.
If the club wait until the summer to appoint somebody who was out of work now, its not a good look.
I don't however agree with him that KLD needs to come out and tell the fans we've found a manager but he's in work. For one, that would be admitting we (and that manager) have broken rules. Secondly they've already told us Dodds will be here until the end of season.
I also don't think we should move away from our preferred candidate to find somebody out of work now. That makes little sense to me.
So whilst I think its a well written and thought out piece, and I agree with most of it, I don't agree with everything he says.
The club announced that Dodds will be interim boss till the end of the season.
It may not be what people want but it's what they said they were doing.
People saying the club should say this and the club should say that.
The club are doing what they said.
Looking back, since KLD took over the club has done exactly what they said they would do.
The problem we have is that's not what some of our fans want.
Yes we've been **** this year and improvements need made, but I could understand the frustration and anger more, if he'd said I'm going to spend millions and get us back to the PL as quickly as possible.
Can someone point out exactly what they have done that they didn't state they were going to do in the first place.
I know the aim is to improve every season but unfortunately in the real world that's not guaranteed
