how he can claim that wasn't malicious intent i don't know. Footballers should have it in their contract that they can't talk unless they submit their comments for review first. 99% of it would be dismissed as egomaniacal self serving pollution.

Even the longest serving Chelsea fan can't honestly think they "deserved" to win the tie?? They've spent 180 minutes with 11 (or 10) men camped on the edge of their box defending for their lives.

To be fair if we do it to them at the weekend it will be an heroic performance and thoroughly deserved. It's about winning imo

Watched it several times. Bang to rights as was his racist insult to Anton. Not a bad player but you're right. Needs to muzzled for his own good. Brain-dead **** head - but I won't hate him. He's too insignificunt!

Why hate? Fair enough if it's in direct opposition to the team you follow. But I see no point in hating Chelsea in their game tonight. In doing so, you have just blinkered yourself from enjoying one of the great sporting drama's of recent years. That was one hell of a game and it was difficult to not be drawn in by the spectacle of it all.
Every now and then you have to hold up your hands and say well done. What those players achieved tonight was incredible.
Fair play to the Barca players who all stood to a man and congratulated the Chelsea players at the end, that is what sport is all about. Play hard, give your best, but be gracious in defeat.
Hopefully one day in our lifetime, we can experience a night like that.

Totally agree, you can't be a fan of football if you can't appreciate that. It isn't about team or the badge you where it was about the commitment.

I hate Liverpool with a passion but when they came back and drew 3-3 in Istanbul I was the first to congratulate them, it's more than just football for me.

But Liverpool are not our direct rivals, in fact they are not Chelsea's either..

Well said Nines. Chelsea played the way Rangers have had to of late. Fascinating contest. Hope it answered the question Mark Hughes must've been mulling over. Zamora or Cisse up front? On tonight's evidence, has to be Cisse. He's far more capable of tucking opportunities away like Ramires and Torres did tonight. Do we need some of that!!
