Why? If QPR stay up it's a big step forward for the club. I can't see who else would be bothered apart from Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle whom it directly affects and of course for sentimental reasons in the case of the former two, perhaps Liverpool as well.
Congratulations DL, sterling performance last night and a timely reminder to us all that no team is unbeatable - including Chelsea. Watched it in a bar in Frankfurt with a colleague (British) of the Chelski tendency. He was so nervous he couldn't watch and went outside for the last ten minutes. The Germans were delighted. Of course they fancy Bayern's chances (should they get through tonight) much more against you than Barca. Sincerely hope you have used up all of your luck over the2 legs and have a nightmare on Sunday.
Now I am dissapointed. I thought only players and staff directly involved in the final could get a medal. Bit like when you used to get sent of in the FA cup final(etc) those players didnt get medals....I think ? Are you sure of this? In years to come he'll be telling his kids how he won the CL...gutted!
Don't think anyone would tbh Thanks and I agree, especially with all the injuries and suspensions we are easy pickings for the final. I said months ago that Barca might be unbeatable (especially at home) but they aren't invulnerable hence why I'd rather play them over 2 legs than 1. This idea that Barca can be beaten in the one off game is bollocks IMO, in a final you have to go out and win, you can't really use defensive tactics or you just get picked off, the fact they didn't get an away goal was absolutely crucial, same for us in 2009. Bayern/Real will be massive favourites now but it should be enthralling to watch anyway. Bayern have a lot of players near suspension so will be on their toes, I fancy them to do it tonight though. 2-1.
I think that it is time to grow up Cerny. North North Watford is not wumming, he has come here for a chat, he seems a straight forward type of guy, so please take your childish behaviour elsewhere. Not every thread has to be about you.
Finals are unpredictable. Cardiff pushed Liverpool all the way in the CC. Generally speaking when we have been favourites, we tend to win i.e 97, 2000, 2009, 2010 etc. United was the only one where we were the slight underdog and still won. Haven't lost an FA Cup Final since 2002. Call me arrogant but I genuinely don't think Liverpool's first XI is any better than our 2nd string or maybe even 3rd, but football isn't played on paper.
While i am not a lover of Chelsea and feel it will be difficult for them to win in Munich,i very much want them to beat Bayern as we cant have the germans winning europes biggest club competition, if that upsets some of my fellow Rangers fans then so be it, they can have the winners medals i just want 3 points Sunday.
How gutted would you be if you were the 4th place finisher in the Premiership and Chelscum win the Champions League final?! All that effort for the filth to nick the spot from you! Anything could happen with just a few weeks to go and I reckon the Gooners, the Toon and Spuds are all going to be honorary Germans for the final. As will we of course, but I have a sneaky feeling that the knuckle draggers might do it, even with it being in Munich and half their squad being injured or banned.
Interesting to see what Chelsea try to do for the rest of the season, given their injuries/ suspensions. If I supported them (a truly disgusting thought), I would seriously want them to go all out for the Champions League - one chance of true glory. If they are too scared to gamble are also prioritise 4th, they risk losing both. FA Cup is sadly, given how important it was in the olden days, just a side show now. Nice dilemma to have though.
Well said, and although it may upset the more "patriotic" of our posters. I'm going for Bayern in the final. Sorry!...each to thier own.
