Slight contradiction. Obertan hasn't played that often, and at the age of 22, who is to say he won't become a very good player? Its not what we need so I am not impressed with the signing but I am willing to give him a chance.
I'm sure there are United fans who don't and never did rate O'Shea, but he played 300-odd games, won 7 or 8 titles, and 2 Champions League's, he was hardly a passenger. No doubt he's faded a bit, but i think he'd get in most teams in the league, and i think he'll be a good un for us.

Considering O'Shea was one of their better defenders last season that's a lie. He & Brown were sold to Sunderland due to the soon to be defense of Smalling and Jones. It's not SAF selling because he knows they're past it (Although I suspect Brown is), it's down to them being replaced by younger, hungrier players. It wont be long before Ferdinand will be on his way out and another defender being brought in or being brought through the academy. Just stop biting at them with such a terrible argument, if they want to talk about our potential signing then let them, it's what both of our boards do these days.
