I'm curious as our manager is having quite a bad run, I was wondering what Everton's finishes where earlier in the Moyes era.

In need of a football nerd here. :)

Took A screenshot on my iPhone, hope it is of use.

Also, I don't know why some of our fans are complaining based on what the picture tells us!

If this hasn't worked here's the link

Doesn't seem to have worked using the app, so I checked safari to see it didn't work either. Oh well the link is there and makes for good reading

Thanks mate, thanks to Mr Toontastics help I found under David Moyes, Everton have finished:

2002/03 Premier League 7th
2003/04 Premier League 17th
2004/05 Premier League 4th
2005/06 Premier League 11th
2006/07 Premier League 6th
2007/08 Premier League 5th
2008/09 Premier League 5th
2009/10 Premier League 8th
2010/11 Premier League 7th

Now this does have me thinking.

That's we're only going to have one horrific season (presumably this one), and the rest will be dandy? <party>

I don't think stability does that alone, I think a good manager and backroom staff do that in combination with stability. If we appointed a sheep on a billion year long contract, we'd win nowt, and he'd only play Ba... Picking the right person and sticking behind them is the only solution, and the best we as fans can do is support the players and the manager every week til the board say "he's not the right manager after all", or we win everything . Leave clairvoyance to the board, I find that makes life less stressful <ok>

I think we will finish around 8th. Once we get ourselves settled after a tough Christmas period and get Cabaye back, we'll finish strongly.

<ok>

If we finish in the top 10 I will be sure as a penny is made of iron that we have a good manager <ok>

Bottom line is Moyes is proven. He is a good example of giving someone time. However you have to be a good manager which he is. Its too early to say with Pards. I have faith in him because I think he showed a lot of ability last season but he has to kick on and back it up. I just think it is way too early to sack him because we don't know yet. I think as a club we have to give him at least this season and next before we re-analyse.

SAF was as follows in his first few years:

11th - but they were 21st when he took over in November
2nd - after spending big
11th - after signing big again (Hughes back from Barca)
13th - after spending big. They were in the relegation at xmas. But he won the FA Cup. He won a league cup game against Forest which many thought saved his job.
6th - inconsistent but improving gradually
2nd - but won cup winners cup
1st - first league

the rest as they say is history!

Its all relative because they expected to win the league every season. The fans wanted him gone on a few occasions but the board just stood firm.

Wenger is a freak, he has never finished outside the top 4, 3rd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd and so on. It really is an unbelievable record. Not as amazing as his budgets have decreased but still ridiculous stability. Pulis is the other to have time. 8th in fizzy pop, 2nd (promoted), 12th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 9th (ongoing). Considering budgets that is an impressive level of stability.

We need to give Pardew at least 3 seasons for me. I'd say 5 but never gonna happen with us. I do think we need to rein in the delusions of grandeur, we were in the fizzy pop 3 seasons ago.
