Im going for a 2-1 win, BWP double. What do you guys make of Green not starting? Had to start for me regardless of how good waggys goal was last week.

Waggy deserves his chance, I think his head would drop massively if he was dropped.

Surprised Benno is omitted but VERY pleased Lee Hughes isn't starting!
 
oooo scott wagstaff ooooo scott wagstaff!! Another sublime goal from Waggy, deserved to keep his place will give him a massive confident boost.. Great to see Hayes get off the mark aswell!!!! 2-0 to us mighty Addicks!!!
 
Goal back for the County!! 2 half time subs and one of them gets on the score sheet! A possible nervy last 30mins for us Addicks... Maybe a time for a change like to see Green brought on asap to shake things up and maybe Euelly for Hayes or BWP
 
Just woke up on a sunny day in Florida, Charlton 2-1 up! Now really need to push on and grab that 3rd goal? Take of one of the strikers for Euell and Green for Waggy!
 
Finally after 83mins we see our 1st sub come on.. The legend that is Euell comes on to replace a very hardworking Hayes!! Seems we've been on top all game with Notts only having 1 shot on target which lead to there goal! BWP been really quiet, but 1 chance and he'll bound to get on the score sheet! Come on you Addicks lets see the last few minutes out!!!
 
Final Whistle has gone! Brilliant win for us Addicks against a team who'll be in or around the play offs come the end of the season!! Top of the league still, hopefully we wont budge from there all season!! Roll on Colchester on Tuesday!!!

Good win, and the Addicks stood up man for man against a pretty physical, and sometimes brutal County team. Love that, after al lthose times when we have been muscled out of games by teaqms of goons.

Didn't expect us to be top after 2 games, I thought with all those new players they'd take time to get going. I was also one of those who wanted Green to start to-day but hey what do I know about the game?
 
Sheff Utd will start the season well due to being a newly relegated team like we were when we won our first 6 games 2 seasons ago but Sheff Utd like us then, will still have to cut there cloth accordingly throughout the season and could still lose players this transfer window if the right offers come in

great result today was worried about this game pre-season and thought this would be a place we'd come unstuck at while all the new signings gel
 
great win, apparently we didnt play our best football, esp. in the first half, but thats par for the course away at places like notts county. great win, will take a point on tuesday to round of a very pleasing opening! COYR!
 
I have to say that achieving the win without Green coming on is the clearest indication yet of our strength in depth.

Didn't expect Wagstaff to start, but what a good call, eh?

Astute closing down tactics at the end as well - no last minute mistakes.

Looks as if CP may be going with a true squad system this season, nobody guaranteed a place, bags of competition and players kept fresh.

What a wonderful feeling to be top again and have something to smile about.
