Wayne foy was on humberside (ex humberside dj) he's a scouse and big Everton fan, he doesn't think Martinez can establish us as a pl team

If he's given adequate funds I think the foundations are there to be improved on iiiiifffff said funds are spent wisely

I don't think the funds will be given so I think we'l be relegated

And if that's the case whatever manager takes over is a mug

As long as we go down having ago, our relegation season there was to many games towards the end we didn't have ago even though we knew we needed the points. Burnley at home springs to mind

Sunderland got there **** together in a day or so. Granted they will of had a heads up he was going to be offered the job, but they sorted things.

We will be pondering 3 games in and on zero points before we get anyone in the building.

Lets say it is Martinez, who's happy with that? Is it a step up or a step down from Bruce?

The only assumption I can make is that he wouldn't come without funds or a guarantee of control of transfer targets, so may be positive from that aspect. And as someone pointed out, our defence isn't that bad when they're fit, we need someone to sort out the attacking situation. Just looking on the Brightside.

So nothing new to report then. When are we going to get a new manager, are we getting any players at all? I did say on another thread that I was hoping Ehab had a plan and someone in mind to take the job and he would be given more funds but the longer it goes on I am not so sure about that. On another note I posted a thread a couple of weeks ago about my work colleague whose seat had been sold to someone else even though she renewed ages ago. She has not had any money taken out of her account and despite speaking to various people including James Mooney she is no further on. Same seat next to her daughter for 5 seasons and now just about ignored with nobody being able to sort it out. What an absolute shambles this club is at the moment.

If we end up with Phelan I'd say we're ****ed - nothing against Phelan but if we end up with him that would mean that every other manager we talked to enquired about budget, control over transfers etc. and walked away from the job.

If Martinez is appointed, is it safe to say that Phelan won't be sticking around? He will want to bring in his own staff won't he? Or will Phelan stay as a money saving option?

The Allams will be really awkward about that. Paying a load of people off plus employing a load more to replace them doing the same job? That's the way they'll see it and they absolutely hate paying people off to leave.

I don't know- what's your Phelan on this one?

Is he healthy, young and smart enough for us?

I wouldn't mind someone like Franck De Boer, doubt he'd be tempted working with Allam tho :D
