i mean, seriously, ryan giggs? 28% of the people who have voted in the hdf poll said ryan giggs?

there are idiots out there complaining that allardyce hasn't won any trophies. are these the same idiots who want ryan giggs to be the next hull city manager? based on all his non-existent managerial career? on what basis are these judgements made?

and these people are allowed to use scissors? and to drive vehicles that weight a tonne or more at 70mph?

jesus, there are some screwed up brain-dead morons out there.

Giggs has a range of contacts with United and would be quite effective in the transfer market if given funds. When he was Caretaker for United he showed he could play a good style of football, and has a very good football brain. He wouldn't be the worst appointment, and certainly not one requiring that sort of carry on.

Everyone thinks differently and for me, right now we would benefit greatly from someone like Giggs..

Not because he's the best manager for the job, he isnt.. but he'd give the club, players and fans a massive needed lift. The media would have a field day and we'd get that positivity and excitement back again. Whereas someone like Phelan, who is the obvious choice, is still very much of the old regime (wasnt a bad thing) and wouldnt give us all that much neededlift.

I get your thinking.
a moral lift would come when we start winning games tho.

Im looking for positives but maybe the Allams knew Bruce would be leaving eventually and didnt want to finalise any players? Its likely they'll back whoever comes in next... they'll have to really. Im certain its part of the process when accepting the job (whats my transfer budget?)

Now the dust has settled I have wondered them same. Did the Allams questiin Bruces long term commitment given his weighing up option's over the summer and England role?
Do these supposed potential new owners not want Bruce and therefore they got rid?

I can sort of see the first one, but that would not explain Bruce been distraught, which I genuinely believe he is.

the second is a non starter, new owners could easily sit in an approve transfers whilst the takeover is going on as a pre cursor to sacking the current manager.

its obvious Bruce ooved the club, players and fans, shame the idiots at the top failed to see that

signing them is 1 thing but then getting them to play is another.

And your point is what?

The comment I replied to mentioned raising moral, Bruce and players are coming out saying the team are flat through injuries and lack of signings, so making some signings and showing that we are preparing to have a proper shot at staying up would raise moral.

all I can say is: thank god it was done now, and not at the end of the window.

Fair point, however cant see a quality manager coming in now.

morale around the club, by that I mean players, staff, and fans alike is shot, and only an exceptional manager will turnnthat around. Cant see us getting that kind of manager given lack of funds and perception of the owners
