The only problem with that insult is that the term 'fellow professional' could have meant either, but it was not incorrect to use the term. Glad to have cleared it up for you. Not sure how relevant it was, but always happy to explain <ok>

Who do you play for Jayram?

I admit there aren't many videos of Bale allegedly cheating on an internet database but this is one of the very examples being shown.

To me, that was a dive. The defender wasn't going to get the ball but he didn't touch Bale either to make him fall down. Bale looked up to see if a penalty would have been given. And it rightly wasn't.

Cheating is part and parcel of the game now, though, sadly and Bale isn't the only one that is culpable of this. Most players do it, but there aren't frequent examples on the internet which show most players overreacting, screaming, diving, handballing, deceiving the ref, off-ball incidents; you name it.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but whether Bale is a cheat or not, it's become a part of the game and it should be halted, but UEFA don't seem to give a toss, considering the likes of Barcelona, United and Madrid are media darlings that can get more endorsements to the business and thus never get punished when they quite openly cheat.

It's like UEFA and the Spanish FA are promoting this type of irrational behaviour.

Bale goes down easily, and clearly looks for the penalty by leaving a trailing leg, but there is definitely contact and the defender definitely doesn't touch the ball. This is a penalty going by the rule book, even if he is clearly hunting for it.

No it doesn't. If there was minimal contact, it means there was not enough to make him go down to the ground and look for the penalty. If there was no contact at all, the player would still have no right to go down and look for the penalty.

I guess it's hard to define what is meant by minimal contact. As even the smallest amount of contact is capable of ruining someone's momentum if the timing and the position of the contact are suitable.

Jeez - I thought all the really stupid people were confined to special homes.

Has Bale EVER been cautioned for allegedly cheating - YES or NO.

All I want is a single word - the longest only has 3 letters so even you should be able to spell it, but remember, if you do, I do need verifiable evidence of him being cautioned.

So, YES or NO?

Referee didn't spot it or he don't want send one more player off to make it 9..<laugh><laugh>

He's a diver. How times we have seen his antics to get opposition player booked just diving on the wing. Hope someone like Charlie Adam will sort him out. <ok>

Can I politely ask that you Gents rein in your insults, as they are becoming a little tiresome - thanks <ok>
