I think we should play OXO on the right and Walcott (if he's fit) up front with RVP OXO will keep Benny busy which will cut off the supply to Bale, then Sagna can get forward to support OXO I think it's on this flank where the game will be won or lost.
Hope we defend as a team for a whole game for once on Sunday. Need to repeat that 2nd half performance away to Dortmund. We have the pace on the break so defending deep is not a bad idea. Against their pace its needed. Also with Mertesacker and Song as our CB's its going to have to be nothing but, defending deep and trying to break with the pace. Simple but could be effective.

You're right, but I think OXO offers more on the right. His defending is still a little immature, so maybe he'd be best used as a sub. Ensil is right though, Bale is a massive threat, I think we need to keep him quiet.
He will be up against proably Theo and Sagna. Theo has the pace to catch up him and just slow him down for Sagna to deal with him in terms of the actual defending. But Frimpong might come across and make silly fouls and get cards and give away free kicks. So thats a worry. Perfect player to deal with guys like this is someone like Gilberto who would just sit in midfield and clinically cut out danger from the flanks. We have not replaced that side of his game.

I think we should play Frimpong and get him to mark VDV. VDV is a class player, but won't be anywhere near as effective with the Beast breathing down his neck. VDV also tires quite quickly and I'm not sure he'll last the whole game anyway. If Frimpong can keep him quiet for an hour, then I think we'll be able to shut off their CM attack.
