Turok the Dinosaur Hunter ? means nothing to me. I didn't know we had that type 'generation' posting on here ? I mistakenly thought this was a site for Hull City supporters ?
The generation of fans brought up on video games ( if that's what they are) are also the fans who were also brought up on Hull City as a Premier league club, and FA Cup Finalists, league cup semi finalists, million pound footballers playing for us, etc, etc. My generation hung onto the memories of a FA Cup 6th round replay with Chelsea and the Third Division Title in 65/66.
Perhaps our definition of a supporter is different.
I don't look for reasons not to support the club. If I had of done I'd have chucked it donkeys years ago.
The offended I refer to are on here, being offended by a remark I made that I consider the opinions of those who actually still attend games over those who don't.
It had nothing to do with gays, women, or black people.

You do know they had video games and computers in the 80's right ?

Atari 2600 , Spectrum 48K , Commodore 64 , Nintendo Entertainment System , Sega Master System , Atari ST etc.

Not to mention the 90's

Sega Megadrive , SNES , Playstation , Nintendo 64 , etc. etc.

We got to the Premier League in 2008

I'm not questioning your credentials as a supporter but you aren't the only one and not the only generation either

Don't get your point.
When did I say that I am the only one and the only generation ?
All I've ever said is that I value the opinions of fans who still attend games then those that don't.
As for all the names you list above they mean nothing to me.
We had Henderson, Wagstaff, Chilton, Houghton and Butler.

Spent many hours playing Dan Dare on the Commodore 64 in the eighties and often stayed up all night smoking weed before realising I'd miss kick off if I didn't get a move on.

If Nigel has a contract until the end of the month what's he going to be doing for the next three weeks?
Hes still getting paid i presume so has he walked now or still putting some input into next season ?

Buckinghams article in HDM epitomises (for me) the total lack of respect the Allams have for anyone but themselves. Just plain ****ing rude and arrogant.

Whilst Adkins postpones an overseas family holiday and leaves his diary free hoping to get his contract sorted out, the spoilt brat son can **** off to the Monaco Grand Prix. Priorities eh?

They're an appalling couple, they really are.

To be fair most people of that age have trouble working out how old us millennials are.

They still think we're 15 years old, despite the fact the youngest millennials are at least 23/24 years old and are in jobs. I think even Gen X'ers get called millennials at times.

Who said they were issues? The people who suffered through it first hand.

Who outlined them for me? See above

Collapse of the economy of West Hull? An issue for the people of the area. Homophobia was nationwide at the time, so if it's an issue in London, it's an issue in Hull.

Was that a greater issue? That would depend entirely on how you prioritise your issues. If you're asking me if the economy is more important than the lives of human beings, I'd say no, no it isn't.

I consider a lot of the world's issues bigger than my own. Even through the eyes of a kid at the time, it was obviously wrong. If somebody was getting kicked in at school, why the hell wouldn't somebody step in or get help?

I don't need to imagine it, I know plenty of people that lived through it, gay or not. Funnily enough, none of them hung around the public toilets in town AFAIK. They're just regular people.

The people who beat up the two lesbians the other day weren’t baby boomers. They were from your supposedly enlightened generation,

Protest? Rally? Stand up for these people? Make an effort to treat them like human beings? Some small gesture that showed you weren't in favour of it? This seemingly 'I was helpless' tactic isn't doing you any favours.

Friends was probably the biggest show in the world in the 90s. Now the woke class it as homophobic, transphobic, sexist and disgustingly white. But believe it or not, 99% of the people who watched it wouldn't have been any of those things. It wouldn't even have entered their minds one iota. It would be inconceivable to my sister, an 18 year old in the 90s, to think her favourite programme was any of those things, and yet an 18 year old now can look at it and say 'These ****ing sexist old timers from the 90s' blah blah blah.

He has a contract until the end of June, so unless its been agreed otherwise, the Allams have to continue to pay him, equally Nige will be required to help albeit in a significantly reduced role.

Of course if Nige gets fixed up in the meantime, i'm sure he would released immediately if he wanted, and the clowns would save a bob or two!.

As those of us with half a brain already knew, Adkins was jerked around and the only reason for the delay in his decision, was the two ****wits he had to deal with.
Almost as if with the playing budget he’s got the allams think we’ll be close to relegation so don’t want to pay him off with his full contract if it goes tits up as it probably will

They would probably sue him for breach of contract then, knowing that pair of ****s.

Or he gets us promoted, then sacked and replaced by an Argentinian with little or no compensation.

They appear to have missed the bit about an improved contract offer not once but twice. Local journalists eh, what do they know?
