He would, but it seems both West Brom and Boro are unable to meet his wage (and spending) demands.
I don’t think either of those things would be a problem to Nige as both would be higher than he has been offered. However there are some good names on OLM’s list so maybe a job for Nige might be lower than the ones available. I do think though even Mr Positive must have a line he won’t go beyond. If not why not sign.

Nige is a man of honour. He's stalling due to his desire to get a decent deal for himself and his trusted number 2 Andy Crosby. They come as a pair and if Crosby isn't given a fair deal then Nige won't sign. Simply that.
Well done to him then. Not a great deal of honour in modern football.

If he's a man of honour he must be staying. No decent bloke would walk out on a club they think so much about just a few weeks from pre-season, contract or not. He'd have walked several weeks ago to give a new manger a chance to rebuild - if only life was like that.

He's not going to be able to, it's three weeks until pre-season starts, if he hasn't agreed to stay this week, we'll start looking for someone else.
The Allams have said their offer won’t change, Nige by now must know if he’s staying or not. If he’s staying sign the deal and if he isn’t why not get another months pay out of them.

If he sees out his contract then he will be due a loyalty bonus for completing the full term, if he leaves earlier he then misses out on the payment.

Loyalty bonus or not why leave early when you can stay and get paid especially if you haven’t got anything else lined up

Funny isn't it?
The Allams claim to be running the football club like a business.
In most businesses those employees that have performed well get annual performance bonuses and 'golden handcuffs' to ensure their services are retained.
And yet Atkins ... still no one tells them how to run their businesses (into the ground).

Nigel Adkins has had an offer on the table in front of him to sign since March.

And yet, and yet.

There must be something about the contract that is making him hesitate don't you think?

He doesn't appear to be money driven, he does appear to want to keep his sidekick Crosby, he does want assurances about the clubs direction and ambition. He's seeing better players leaving or about to leave, he appears to be a bit put out about the support.

He's not stupid and knows that his stock will have risen due to the job he has done and the constraints he's working to. Other clubs will have noticed this too.

So I wonder what it is that is stopping him from signing the (take it or leave it, but we are 'desperate' for you to stay) contract that has been in front of him since March?
