Well done LJ you won the Papa John Cup and you only took over 5th December 2020, living off someone elses hard work again.
Inexperienced coaching, he's a young manager and will learn by his mistakes.......lets hope he's doesn't come back to haunt us..
Someone else hard work, is that why the previous manager was sacked? For that trophy, you would have given Cotts an open top bus
Why was LJ sacked? Cott's made us league 1 champions, gained promotion, won the tin pot cup and he enjoyed the open top bus.
5 places gained in 4.5 years, 65 players signed, biggest financial backing ever, he failed and you still don't get it.
Sunderland were 8th and only 7 points off the top, just imagine if LJ had been sacked at that stage, you and several others would have gone mental. But hey credit where credit is due, he seems to if not exactly having them playing champagne football made them very secure at the back and resilient for a change and that is what is required in league 1, as we know you need more than that in the championship, hopefully he will come back for players like Paterson and Hunt (fingers crossed).
Failed to have us relegated to league 1, kept us where we are for 4 years,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not sure it's me that don't get it.......... Our progression since he left has been top drawer
Sorry Cotts wasn't quite up to the Championship out of his depth whereas LJ kept us there for four years, if they didn't keep selling our best players who knows , still you will never give him any credit you hated the man from the start.
Excuse me "if they didn't keep selling our best players", LJ, Holden and Ashton have all publicly stated that the manager/head coach had the say say on ALL transfers, are they all lying?
Blimey Wiz we hit your button as well, i've never been an angel go back on some of my posts you will see when l said Johnson deserved the sack, l see the haters are bleating as always.
I will leave that to you, something we will never know, you and me would be second guessing, mind l would like you to show me proof they said that, you may be looking for awhile.
Well they all did say that because they were all asked and all gave the same reply, the last was Ashton after Holden was sacked and neither of them denied it, so it must be true.
Not sure of the logic here? We were in and around the top 10 for the last 3 years, so how did they have a “funny way” of showing it under the last 2 managers, yet the inference is they are showing it under NP? I like what NP is doing so far, but let’s not forget we lost back to back home games recently, so do the players only respect NP when we play away?
You do realise that out of the last 92 league games that LJ and Holden were in charge of we only managed to win 33 of those games. I did say 2 years and 96 league games equates to 2 seasons of football. I can break that down even more LJ won 19 out of his last 55 games in charge. Holden won a total of 14 out of 36 in charge. And yes we did lose back to back home games under NP and do you know what? I am glad that we did, because NP had a chance to see first hand when we are bad we are shocking. I think he took the first defeat in his stride, I think the QPR game shocked him to his core, his post match comments were incredibly measured but also revealing.
Let me get this right.. We win 3 games over the last few weeks......3-1 v Boro & Swansea and 3-0 v Brum..........this is down to either dead cat bounce or the NP magic dust, some would say!! But when we lose games, it's down to the dreadful players brought in by LJ, even though he's been gone nearly a year? Are the players we have in the squad capable or not? Asking for a friend !! Prefer an honest answer rather than the usual blah blah blah!!
Brilliant response! Let's see what the LJ obsessors have to say about this...... Wiz, RP, over to you, I'm genuinely excited to see your response!
