Same old club and the same old mess again and again make me wonder why the hell I support such a dysfunctional outfit. Like so many others over the years I have dreamt of one successful season where we actually won something that counted, other than some tin pot trophy. Here we are again wondering what the heck has just happened down in BS3 with another manager heading for the hills in quick order and for quite some time we will still be asking why was NP sacked? In all honesty I thought he could get the job done, as aspired by SL, but suits apparently decided otherwise and supposedly based their decision on the visible lack of improvement year on year. Other managers have arrived for the long term at Ashton Gate and achieved less but still kept their jobs for longer with no sign of improvement, so why did NP get treated this way? Many times on this site I have mentioned the mysterious happenings in the dark halls of Ashton Gate and yet again we know we will never know the real truth, mainly because some things need to be kept private, and also because Bristol City have to be one of the least communicative operations on earth. At least one thing is in our favour and that is timing as we usually leave messy things like sackings until it's too late for the inbound manager to do anything in the next transfer window. However if the Lansdown's decide to keep their money rather than support the obvious needs of the team then yet again the process of hiring will be just a token affair with little or no oomph. As long as it isn't Tinnion, Barton, Warnock, Allardyce or Ainsworth I don't give a flying pig about who they decide to hire because at the end of this season it may not matter much anyway as we have thrown away another season of discontent only to be followed by another next year.
