I don't know. It's fine saying that, but if you aren't going to buy Schnorbitz, who are you going to buy that is going to be more likely to succeed for less money?

Possibly. Well, yes.
But the sounds being made are all positive, almost as if it's a formality now.
I wish to summon the power of the French Tickler now and say TIME WILL TELL.
End of.
With his goal-scoring record, £2million might be worth it. He has proven he can score goals consistently and he's only 25... Sometimes the risk might prove to be either truly amazing or woeful which is obviously the dilemma Bruce is faced with. Two million is too much, maybe for a million you might take a gamble, and it would be that.
Very well put. At least with the owners (touch wood) it would be a gamble that we could take even if it didn't work out for the lad. With his goal-scoring record, £2million might be worth it. I saw FC Thun mentioned, but if you look at Europa League you have a lot of minnows playing in it from smaller countries so maybe that's not as impressive as it sounds. I want this guy to do well but he's 25 and not played in a non German environment. It's great being positive of course nothing wrong with that, but I wonder if some people are getting carried away from what I've read on here about certain things.
Like the useless lump Carroll that Liverpool payed £30 million for or Torres for £50 mllion by Chelsea. Not much of a guarantee there eh?Two million for this guy is a massive gamble in my opinion. For that money you would want an instant return and there have got to be doubts about that happening, given the guy has no experience at all in non Germanic leagues or higher grades of football. Couldn't we spend 2 million on a player in this country and get a guaranteed return instead? I am having flashbacks to the Stan Ternent era when he spent a fortune on misguided gambles like Tony Finnegan and others. There is suddenly a lot of love for Bruce on here but is he one of these managers that needs to spend a fortune to have any chance of succeeding rather than bringing players on? Not a fan previously of Bruce though I hope for the best now he is with us and with this signing if it happens.

People are far too harsh on Carroll. He was head and shoulders - both literally and metephorically - ahead of Rooney at the Euros - FACT - yet most people wouldnt call him useless. Personally I'd just continue to say he's the most overrated player in history....
Anybody know how good Swiss football actually is and what 8 goals during their top-flight season means? Looks like Luzern weren't bothered with him.
Along with Hull, Bundesliga new boys SpVgg Greuther Furth are also thought to be interested in making a move for the player; their interest however, is thought to be more concrete than the English Championship club.
The player himself admits that, although he has contractual obligations towards his current club but he favours a move to the newly promoted Bundesliga side.
The lure of topflight football will be enough for Proschwitz to opt for a move to Furth. The move to Hull FC will not be too attractive for the player who scored 17 goals last season.
He is an interesting signing if he comes thats for sure, sorry for stretching out this thread like you say, time will tell on some things! The info about him is unclear apart from he has a good goalscoring record in German-type lower leagues and FC Thun. The two guys he shared top-scorer with in Bundesliga 2 were journeymen type players although one of them has signed for Eintracht Frankfurt. Lots of clubs for a 25 year old and seems to get shifted/shifts himself on a lot. What did we all do without the internet for research I wonder. Why don't you just wait and see?
It's not like you can do anything about it!
