Apparently, we (along with Birmingham and Sunderland) are interested in signing Donny full back Niall Mason in the summer and we probably are, as he's half decent and available on a free.

But the link with the player wasn't the main reason for starting this thread, it's the fact that the article says 'Ola Aina, Fikayo Tomori and Michael Hector are all set to leave the club at the end of the season and return to Chelsea while Moses Odubajo, Michael Dawson and Max Clark are currently set to be released at the end of their contract'.

News to me? (apart from Dawson obviously)

Welcome to another Brother Mason.
At this pace We'll have had whole lot of Maisonette's.

With the compensation rules, we'll presumably get a reasonable fee for Clark despite him being out of contract. I think these rules are crazy but maybe Ehab wants to play it to his advantage to get a million or two for Clark?

If Moses is capable of reaching the standard he met previously, letting him go is ****ing ******ed. With Clark, i'm still not convinced he's championship class as a first 11 left back but he is certainly a more than capable squad player and a decent contract offer surely wouldn't cost that much?

I think Clark's come on a lot these past few games and we should be keeping him. If the Moses departure is right I wonder if there's something we don't know about his injury?

Mason was at Real Madrid as a youngster!!! Is he a left back?
Releasing Moses and Clark can only have come from the club but there's nowt on the club website about this.

seriously? You think anyone would pay a million or two for max??
League one player, no more than that.

i don't think clark is good enough to be a championship player but he deserves at least next year
been an almost ever present this season, he might improve massively next year, who knows

Is it us realising Clark? Or more he can't/wont agree a new deal? I'm sure we offered one

You have to offer a deal to get compensation though don't you? With Tymon we offered him scholarship terms and still somehow got what Ehab calls 'considerably more than' 800k. Like I said I find these rules baffling but presumably if we release him he'll sign somewhere else and theullt have to pay what a tribunal decides. I know they have criteria but it always seems to be more than expected.

We have offered a deal.

I reckon Bruce will take Odubajo (providing he's still in a job at end of season)
