I'm ****ing astonished they've taken this long to do anything now like, and it was me that was preaching it would take a few weeks a few weeks ago. I honestly think they came in and thought Bruce will se us through till Jan, that didn't work so it was sack him, lets see if we can get Rafa. Got turned down then hoped Jones could see us through till Jan, then hope Rafa had left and get him, that hasn't worked so they've gone for Howe.
Watch Rafa get sacked in the next 6-8 weeks

Yeah, it's been pretty comical for all the "look at the long term" stuff spouted.
Rafa's going nowhere, Moshiri will stick with him and he's got a lot of big players missing at the moment, plus his teams always finish stronger so the soonest he'd be gone is May.
I'm pretty gobsmacked that in a world of managers, Eddie Howe was the best we (they) could get. He wasn't high up my list when Ashley was here, let alone when we have Saudi backing and we're being linked to Coutinho, Hazard, Sule.
When they talk to Fonseca and think "hmm, he's good, but we can do better" I don't then expect Howe to be the "better". I messed about on Google searching for things like "best manager out of work" - Howe's not in those lists. Palace didn't want him. There was an issue with Celtic as well. He wasn't the guy Spurs thought could replace Nuno. He was, as far as I can tell, a target for Norwich - which makes sense.
We need an influx of good players in January, but we're tempting them in with Eddie Howe? As a player, is that what you're aspiring to, to work for Eddie?
He's not tactically good either. He's FA schooled, for one, which is a HUGE red flag for me. His defences have been described numerous times as "chaotic". He prefers 4-4-2, which I ****ing ABHOR because it leaves you light in central midfield (as usual) and we do not have the players for that formation anyway.
Then there's our beloved goldfish. Fans aren't pining for Howe, they're pining for an end to what has been a debacle of a hiring process. Howe will get, what, 3 games? 6? Before fans start turning on him? He isn't coming with any sense of glamour, mystique or ambition. He's coming as 6th choice, at best, a backup plan and is fundamentally a bloke from the South who's won absolutely **** all, got homesick when at Burnley and only achieved relative "success" at one small club.
Sorry guys I know we're supposed to look on the bright side, but this to me looks like a ****ing terrible appointment and all but seals relegation barring some kind of January transfer miracle.
