Getting a small club from the 4th tier to the Premier league in 6 years, and then getting them firmly established there, is an incredible achievement tbh. He might not be a flash foreign name, but anyone laughing at him or putting him down needs to have a good look at his managerial record.

Howe-ay man get him in, get us through to the end of the season, if he keeps us up he'll have been a success, fail to keep us up and he could be the right type of manager to take the team next year anyway. Like I say I fully can't see us staying up this year unless we get some shock results over the next 9 games to give us a chance so can't see many big name managers wanting to come in and give it a go in the hope they can get a tune out of Shelvey, Clark, Ritchie, Fraser etc for the next few games.
It seems the majority of nufc fans are going to give the guy a chance. There's a few that will moan like whores and that will never change because everyone has a view in football. Let's hope it works out. @Welshie has been after Howe fur a good few years, so if it doesn't work out I'll just blame him
After 5 and a half years of defensive, deep lying, eye cancer inducing football, the games might be alright to watch again.
It'll be interesting to see what the players are capable of doing. Even just picking the best 11 can be a huge win right out the gate.
Tbh there's no need to be negative about him, he doesn't have a history of relegation and sackings like McClaren, Pardew, Bruce, et al. All he's done is have huge success.
Honestly, just pick some kuhnt and we move on! If it's Howe then so be it! We are running out of time. Whoever it is we'll get behind him. We all expect a relegation battle. The past is the past. Keep looking ahead and support whichever mad bastard accepts this insane job!
Very poor record as a manager. If you take Feyenoord and Southampton off his record, its just a list of failures. However I have a mate who is mad keen. His reasoning? He supposedly has a ridiculously good record wherever he has been over the first 8 games. Obviously that could be massive for us. I think the big problem with him is like Bruce, he has no defined style. As a fire fighter though I can see a little sense for all he wouldn't be my choice.
So they can have pre-relegation picnic and every single person in Saudi Arabia can be asked about their opinion on the manager. Should take circa 5 months. Hire someone ffs
