They were set to be relegated from league 2 and well adrift when he took over there too. Also worth remembering that if it wasn’t for failed goal line technology Bournemouth wouldn’t have been relegated from the EPL when they were.Depends how you look at Bournemouth being relegated under him.
He did guide them from league 2 to the premier league. His win percentage as a manger has been about 40-50%.
Nah, they clearly have reservations. Caulkin reckons Howe isn't actually an option. Martinez, isn't going to ditch Belgium before a World Cup. Favre, not sure why they're not bothered about him, unless they want to gamble and wait on Benitez. Or unless Nuno's sacking has presented another option. One of those two things.
Nothing going to happen before the weekend - another Everton defeat might make it clearer. I think Emery presented a big name ahead of schedule, but they made a complete hash of the approach. They can spin it, privately, of course.
Anyone else just ****ing fatigued by it?! I need a break I think.
I'm surprised everyone is so opposed to Howe. You've got to realise where we are. I think he's a really good option. He's got a clear idea of the way he wants to play, by all accounts is an incredibly hard worker and knows how to manage players and media. I live in Bournemouth and I can tell you he left them with massive credit in the bank with the fans. His time there had ran it's course which is always going to happen at a club like Bournemouth and he probably stayed a year too long when there were opportunities to move but he is a good, modern coach who is demanding of his players.
My worry is that if we want a coach that plays football it takes time to develop and we need points now if we are to stay up. That is maybe where an Emery for instance would be quite experienced at being pragmatic and grinding out results.
Sounds to me like a Lee Charnley **** up

Guy changed his mind due to a leak in the UK press and nothing else. This reporting was what alerted VillaReal and started 20 questions to Emery.
He wasn't that keen and used an excuse.. **** him..
Decided to stay and knows he'd slied both clubs for weeks
Exactly my thoughts. He has a good record - of that there's no doubt. I wasn't overly excited personally, then read a load of Arsenal fans moaning about him coming and thought he was maybe better than what I had originally thought.
A few weeks ago I would have opted for Favre ahead of Emery - I'm still of the same mindset.
