I personally don't buy into all that.. I think you're either good or you're not.

I'm sure there's loads of crap managers that have done nothing but fight relegation and like to push the narrative that they're ideal for that role. What else can they say?

I could be wrong but that's my view.

I'm not sure there's a sentence more annoying in the world than that.

Chelsea wanted someone to take them to a CL win and the top of the league. So it's ok to take on someone with no Prem experience to do that, but it's not ok to bring someone in to simply improve the team?

Honestly, I ****ing loathe that narrative. That sentence should have died when Allardyce got relegated.

I mean, we're not even currently in a relegation battle, not really. We've just had a bad start thanks to a former head coach I won't mention again. Should be 7 pts at least better off, so we can make those back in some less likely fixtures. Palace, Brighton, Brentford and Norwich in the next 6. And Arsenal are pretty **** as well. 12-15 points from there and we're averaging a point a game from a dire start.

I’d be getting worried if Staveley is the one deciding who gets the job, she’s a business woman not a football person. He’s a handsome bastard so no wonder she was impressed, thinking about those private meetings in the boardroom pegging the arse off Fonseca

How nice does it feel to wake up on a morning with excitement about our club instead of the **** we’ve had to put up with for so many years.

We’re actually hiring a manager with 10 or so games played, not 10 or so games remaining. New directions.

Hopefully she's had guidance I suspect they probably have.
