Chris alive, listen to this - he makes Bruce sound positively competent:

https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...stle-united/12455341/jones-we-need-to-improve

Thinks we had "momentum" before they scored their first, that it was "tight" for long periods, and so on. He looks like an idiot, he sounds like an idiot. I want him gone - I mean, maybe he can coach, but get him away from everything else.

Thing is it's dragged longer than it should have. They took over a full fortnight before the Spurs debacle. They then got rid of Bruce but wanted to take their time and so inexplicably have left Jones and two Steve's in place. That's another two matches.

I've never owned a club and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I never will. But I would have imagined there should have been some kind of plan, a sounding out of some managers who might be interested in the event of a takeover. Some who might need more coaxing, some who might jump at the chance, but a shortlist all the same each with merits and plans. The key at this club has been decisiveness - it was a key factor missing under Ashley and even the floundering around about the roles of McParland and Brown is a little concerning.

Knee-jerk? Yeah, that's me, that's how I roll and always have - and I both apologise (to any who dislike it) and make no apology for it (cos I am who I am). But they need to get ****ing quicker at making key decisions.

Edit: @Roy Munson sorry if I came across wrong; it's not how it sounds, I would talk to you the same in person but it's aggressive towards the club/situation, not you as a person.
I agree with you. I really think they have missed an opportunity here I really do.

Even if it was just to assess the players.

If the team line up today was to protect our best players then why risk max and Wilson.

None of it currently makes any sense to me.

Even sky have started taking the piss out of us.

I'm not being a ****, but how can you be sure they've not been watching the gamrs and getting feedback on players?

There's alot of negative assumptions going on here and alot of naivety as to what might be going on that we don't know about.

No manager can turn us into brasil overnight.. The process has begun.

Please don't get angry im just trying give people food thought

That's fine that's all you should have said in the 1st place.
I’m confused: that’s what I did say. Without the laughing: I pointed out that you where being self righteous which you are and that’s fine.

I don’t have patience. I don’t apologise for that. But I’ve watched enough **** football to last a lifetime and it nearly has.

We have literally made no new recruits at any level. Which to my mind is just weird.

The definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting different results. It’s the same coaching team. Jones. And it’s clearly not working. Never has.

My concern is that the “plan” is looking more like they don’t know what the **** to do.

I’m not angry and yes I see things as negative. Because for 14 years and still counting it mostly has been.

They have been in situ for three weeks and probably a week earlier they knew it was happening.

There has literally been no movement whatsoever on any staff other than Bruce leaving.

Jesus even Charnley is still attending the meetings.

I offered a different view nothing more that's the response you could've given along with Mr Blackadder.

We've done this

Fair enough. I’m just voicing my concerns. You happily pop pooed it by saying chill and it’s only been three weeks.

I don’t really care how long it’s been because quite simply nothing has changed as yet and we are perilously close to being relegated without even having a fighting chance.

I actually think something will happen this week on some fronts. My contact has been very VERY quiet on things.

There has only been one movement of note since they came in and that was getting shot of Bruce.

Which I am indeed thankful for. But he’s done a lot of damage and that damage needs repaired sooner rather than later.

Ashley? I don’t like him.
Rio Ferdinand is a ****er.
Paul Mersin is a tosspot.
Simon Jordan is a proper ****er but I like him for his business acumen.

I could list loads.

Shelvey.
Bellamy.
Jenas.

I understand you need to see the big changes you want to see right away, but what I'm saying is that there will have been a hell of alot of movement over the last 3 weeks.

I'm also of the opinion that any people coming in will already have been presented with exactly what's in the squad including scout reports and they've most likely watched our last 2 matches. They may have even wanted to see the underbelly.. We don't know

Its not the surface of the water that indicates the activity below

Does my nut in when people say any manager couldn’t do anything with team. It’s bullshit.

Brighton’s team is bottom tier yet Potter has them playing good football. Is Southampton’s team better than ours? Is Burnley’s? Is Watford’s? Norwich? Leeds? There is at least 3 worst teams than us. If we had a good attacking manager who knew what he was doing from the start of the season not a chance would be 19th with 4 points, not a chance.

They could definitely improve things but not in time for today. I think there's already someone doing their homework though
