Personally I think the pressure got to him and he became more and more negative with tactics and team selection.

I agree with the bit that says "not expecting any miracles from his successor"
Seems a fair summary although I think that at least part of the issue was that he became branded as negative and lots of people couldn't see beyond that even when we weren't being particularly negative

No, the only pertinent fact is that his target was to get in the playoff places and that's what he did. He hit the target set by his boss hence not a disaster. That's a fact no matter how you felt about his football.
I googled jack ross quotes and it gave me the Chronicle quoting him for each month last season.
Never once read in the first 6 months him saying play offs. Winning promotion and winning the league was mentioned several times.
Nevertheless he failed abysmally. The choke against charlton was a disgrace.
That was his fault. Players were underprepared physically and mentally and his need not to lose outweighing playing good attacking football

Probably because he didn't set his target Donald did. Of course Ross talked about winning promotion automatically why wouldn't he. Before the season started the majority on here weren't expecting any miracles due to the years of dire results we've had to endure.
Like you say he's gone now so it doesn't really matter now but I'm not having it going down in history as a disaster when it wasn't. Relegation would have been a disaster.

It would be interesting to know if our potential new investors are aware of the Leicester story and might be able to encourage Steve Walsh to reunite his working relationship with Pearson as head of our recruitment.
I'm convinced that Walsh was far more important to that team than either Pearson or Ranieri and Pearson's record (Leicester aside) leaves a lot to be desired.

Have to make sure he brings the psychologist he had with him at Leicester cause I think some of our players are very weak minded
It would take more than a psychologist. The Wizard of Oz would have a job on his hands giving some of our players what they need.
The biggest criticism I have of the current regime is recruitment. I'd be hoping new owners and by some miracle and longshot, the recruitment of Walsh would lead to a whole new blueprint.
Only in response to the endless boring criticism of Ross and I let most of it fly.

I'd say any opinion is boring when it's said over and over, I know I bore myself repeatedly sticking up for Ross because you and Fulwell don't seem to be able to state your opinion on Ross and move on.
