Probably no manager ever because we're all humans and have different opinions. The one thing we can all agree on is that we want what's best for our club.

Not truly inspiring in my view. Had disappointing ends to most of his jobs? Another rushed and panic job. But am prepared to be proved totally wrong.

Alan Ball (the last manager to be universally welcomed)?

Has Hughes managed to take any team out of the Championship? Maybe the club have half a mind on that. While he may not be a top PL manager, if SFC drop into the Championship, he has the nous and ability to get SFC back to the PL. Hopefully, Hughes has absorded enough from Alex Ferguson to do justice to the club.

I’m fine with MH. He’s passionate and hopefully will give Saints a kick up the arse that we have needed for a while.

If it's hughes I hope he gives the board a wake up call too. Yes men rarely work. The board needs to be stretched as well as the players . Too much arrogance and complacency has caused this mess.

Just checked Hughes out, if he is to become the next manager. If he can replicate his work at Blackburn, he will prove to be a success.

We have had enough negativity to last a lifetime so let´s try to be positive, At Blackburn, Manchester City, Fulham and for most of his career at Stoke he was at least adequate. 43% win ratio at Blackburn is not bad!!

I see the club has just as much faith in Hughes' ability to take us forward as I do, heh.
