Valley graduate says
This appointment tells me that the club is already preparing for relegation.
Someone who has coached ar some of the world's biggest clubs.
This tells me the club is preparing for life in the PL next season.

Because I don't think they would come apart from Harry and I think he's past it.
Looks like I'm in a minority here but I think Clement is a good fit for us. De Boer is first choice for me but I won't complain if Clement is appointed. After Bradley, anything's an improvement. Yes, it's a gamble but let's not forget even so-called 'top managers' have taken teams down, including Redknapp. He's also bankrupted clubs for fun.
People here are dissing Clement and in the same breath mentioning Giggs because, well he's Giggs isn't he, but then conveniently forgetting he actually has less experience at the job. Then it's Pardew who we seem to have forgotten was despised by the Toon fans who were baying for his blood, not to mention that Palace have sacked him for a reason.
Nobody's perfect, so let's not expect it. Interesting times ahead.
Valley to be fair, this is exactly the same cv as Rodgers brought to the table and we know what happened there. Been around top clubs as a coach and was sacked by Reading. I think we are looking to go back to where we started with young hungry managers. Of course it is a gamble, but he looks the best of what is available. \I think it will be good as long as he is able to bring in his own staff and not forced to use what is there now. Which has been our main problem in years gone by. We have to stay positive over this one and hope it works. lets be fair bringing in any new manager is a gamble, just because they have been successful elsewhere doesn't mean it will work for us.But he's coached, not managed under some of the best managers in the world, except in the championship.
Where's the experience of someone from a relegation battle? No PL experience either. Will he have the pulling power to bring players in?
Huge, huge gamble.
Why not go for a De Boer, Klinsmann, Marcelino, Redknapp etc?

Stay positive and lets get some points and who knows we may be having few from Bayern Munich.
I have said all along and actually ended up arguing with someone at the last game, when they were singing his name and I said if people think he is the saviour we are in deep trouble. I agree yes he is a club legend, but he has absolutely no qualification to get us out of trouble. I believe there is a job at the club for him, but not coaching the first team.Is Curtis part of the problem in that department? I know it's heresy to even mention anything detremental about him but it was pretty obvious Bradley was relying on Curtis heavily yet look at the results we've had. Odd team selection, odd substitutions, odd formations. That's where Curtis would have been helping, you'd think. That said, he did fine when Guidolin was hospitalised.
Personally, I wouldn't be unhappy if he was given more of a minor role and let the new manager, whoever he is, bring his new guys in.
But mate everyone is a gamble, Giggs no experience at this end of the table, Rowett neither. This is where I said earlier, Harry and Clement would be the perfect appointment, with a view to Clement taking over next season whatever league we are in.But we weren't in the relegation zone of the PL when he took over.
I'm not convinced, but time will tell, and I'll more than happy to be proved wrong.

But who ever we have I am sure we will get behind him.

Why the **** do we take so long and not have a Plan B when things go wrong, Palace sack Pardew and Allidyce installed inside 24hrs, we will still be waiting till the end of January.http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-should-appoint-roy-12388937
Carragher is also jumping on the Hodgson bandwagon
Hopefully the new manager/soon to be manager will be in the stands today. Need to get the new manager appointed by Monday at the latest with the window opening.

If you remember going back to the GOOD old days, Huw use to say they had a book on managers strengths and weaknesses, so if a manager left they all ready had list ready to go.Well if I was Clement, I'd stay at Bayern after that performance today.
We sacked Monk - no plan
Sacked Guido - no plan
Sacked Bob - no plan.
Blame lies firmly at Huws feet for that.
