I just wish if they are going to do it, do it soon, whoever they decide it maybe. I really don't want to be waiting till mid to end of January and then panic buying in the transfer window. I also hope who we employ brings in their own backroom staff for to long it is make do. I also want the new manager to have the balls to stand up to the board and not simply another yes man. It is looking very much like it is going to be Clement as it stands and looking at the betting. So lets get him in and get on with it. He must be desperate for a PL no.1 job having come second to the brilliant BB in the interviews earlier in the season.
McClaren highly rated as a number 2 couldn't really hack it as a No 1. This doesn't mean that Clement can't. He didn't make it at Derby but then Brendan Rodgers didn't at his first managerial appointments. Clement has experience as an academy coach so may be the man to introduce our youngsters in to the first team which is what we want for the long term. Whether he is the man to turn the first team around at this time nobody knows. He certainly has experience as a coach at the highest level.
Hope its at least someone who can freshen us up and get us back to playing football again. Someone who can stand us up, dust us down and instill confidence and respect back into the club. Its a hell of an ask isn't it? I'm off for the new year so see you all in 2017. I hope you all have a great new year and I pray we don't completely implode. Happy New Year guys
Don't drink to much, just enough to make you fall over. Have a great time and a happy new year to you.
One of the reasons Clement was hired by derby was to utilise and develop the academy players and also one of the reasons he was sacked. Clement reportedly did not invite the Under-21 to train with the first team and rarely ever attended their matches. Owner Mel Morris was left less than impressed with the attitude of Clement and as a result, this played a huge factor in his decision to sack him
Well if Clement is getting the job, wouldn't it make sense to bring in someone like a Harry Redknapp until the end of the season with Clement as his number 2 and let him take over in the summer? I personally don't think Clement is the answer
If going with Arry till summer with a longer term assistant then his number two also needs to be one that can bring good players in too double the bang for your buck !
Harry and Hartson for me for the short term. One with the contacts and experience and one will sort the dressing room out.
Just seen this please log in to view this image Someone said that Jenkins will be DofF if so that is us relegated if that ****er Jenkins is going to be picking new signings in January as he has done so well at that over the last 2 seasons. If true is there no end to his arrogance.
Well they'd better get Arry and Co in sharpish if their going to do it before Liverpool come for Siggy and the rumour mill goes into over drive with the vultures cherry picking the best we have left and further destabilising what's left of our team !
Not so much Liverpool but there were a lot of rumours about Everton selling Barkley a while back. Gylfi is much better than him. Chelsea also want Llorente according to today's papers.
Just hope it isn't true, I want a manager who would stand up to those ****ers and someone who picks the players he wants signed. I hope not true, but I just hope he isn't another yes man.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-appoint-new-york-12383968 Look at the attitude of this w@nker! Now we've employed him. "The 42-year-old former journalist tweeted about Swansea's approach after the successful 2014-15 season. Garry Monk led the Swans to a record Premier League points tally of 56 and eighth place finish but Altman wasn't convinced the club's approach was viable in the long-term, tweeting: “I've had a look at Swansea City's numbers, and all I can say is, HAHAHAHAHA. Just keep doing what you're doing, Swans, and see how it goes.”
Lorente, Montero, maybe another but it shows how poor our team has become that the majority are not good enough so we are stuck with them until they improve, retire or run contracts down, we are desperate for new blood of a higher quality than we've got now !
Lorente is too old for any major Club to want him. Montero flatters to deceive. and is far too inconsistent. Would the Swans' buy him now, based on this season's performances ?
