No disrespect to Curtis but if his health is having an effect on his ability to do his job he must consider his position when we get a new manager in.

Well I am a roofer....cheers all and a Happy New Year
Looks like I'm in a minority here but I think Clement is a good fit for us. De Boer is first choice for me but I won't complain if Clement is appointed. After Bradley, anything's an improvement. Yes, it's a gamble but let's not forget even so-called 'top managers' have taken teams down, including Redknapp. He's also bankrupted clubs for fun.

People here are dissing Clement and in the same breath mentioning Giggs because, well he's Giggs isn't he, but then conveniently forgetting he actually has less experience at the job. Then it's Pardew who we seem to have forgotten was despised by the Toon fans who were baying for his blood, not to mention that Palace have sacked him for a reason.

Nobody's perfect, so let's not expect it. Interesting times ahead.
I have said all along and actually ended up arguing with someone at the last game, when they were singing his name and I said if people think he is the saviour we are in deep trouble. I agree yes he is a club legend, but he has absolutely no qualification to get us out of trouble. I believe there is a job at the club for him, but not coaching the first team.

I think he has already stated he wants to leave. But Curt is stuck in the middle they keep calling on him and because he loves the club he feels obliged. The happiest time at the liberty for him (apart from the honeymoon period with Laudrup) was hosting the hospitality which he was very good at.

I'm not going to add to what I have already stated, suffice to say, he is being asked to do more than he should be doing, and I will not criticise Curt one bit, and neither would you if you were in possession of the full facts. Huw Jenkins is the one that you should aim your discontent at, he and his grubby mates are soley to blame for where we are, Curt is being taken advantage of big time by our board, so cut him some slack.

Anyway I'm sure you've picked up on the fact that our No1 target has been enlisted to steer this motley crew, make sure your ready for the Championship, because he has been brought in for the transition!...............<ok>

Until today I had hoped we might stay up and whilst there is still a chance I am now becoming resigned to championship football next season. There is such a gap developing between the Pl and the championship that I hope we can come straight back and not linger there. Rebuilding for next season both on and off the field should be starting now.. I hope that Paul Clement is the man to do this on the field.. The new owners have been criticised, slightly unfairly at the moment in my view, but have been making off field appointments and only time will tell whether they are prepared to do enough.

Afraid to say it, but we all know we won't be a bounce back club.

I reiterate. I have no problem with Curtis short term but if, as you heavily hint at, he has a health issue then he should not be in that position and should stand down. I agree that Jenkins & co have a lot to answer for but we must all take responsibility for our own health.

Getting a massive salary just for being a legend doesn't do it for me. You have to earn it right here, right now. If he can't earn it either through ability or health then he should stand down. Our club is in a precarious position and we shouldn't be carrying anyone, legend or not.

Koeman looks like he wants 2-3 new CBs in the summer. Maybe we can get Ash back for the championship ;)

Hurry up, get in & get started Paul. We need you to help start to stop what seems like a 'terminal rot!!'

I've been away for Chrimbo & New Year working, so haven't been to the Lib for the WHU & Cherries games, but what I saw on the Sky re-run of the match this morning was no less than absolutely shambolic!!! Sorry to single a player out, but Amat needs to be taken out of the 'firing line' as soon as possible...

I hope if he's in by Tuesday night (Clement), he's not just sitting in the stand, but actually picks the side & formation, also 'banging the drum' of what's required out on the pitch from our team!! They need a rocket up their arses's & they need it quick. To many shying away from any responsibility, are they 'men' or fvckin what. We need a leader & somebody to grab a game by the scruff!! If only 'us fans' could play, ffs,.

He loves the club too much to stand down, but given his health issues, I would!..........................<ok>

Me too. One's health has to be number one priority regardless of our age.

Remember seeing Curt, Jeremy Charles and the late, great Robbie walking around the centre of Swansea together many time when they were in the first team. What I wouldn't give to have a midfielder like Robbie in the team now . We lost him too soon and if Curt is having health problems he must put his health first.

Unfortunately there'd be something akin to comment 25 even if the story was about wampaging Woy Hodges. Comments of that ilk are going to follow us around for years I think.
I think the comments are following him, in fairness.
