In no way was I implying that the owners/chairman should consult the fans or members of a football forum about who should be the next manager. (Unless they will now consult with the supporters trust: I've no idea what influence they have.) I was only pointing out that Giggs' name has split this forum and so has Pardew's. Whoever is appointed will probably split opinion on here - I guess that's just stating the obvious. P.S. I managed to extract your response from within my quote and put it in a quote of your own. Do I get a prize?
I was in no way implying that but merely putting my own slant on things, as usual. If it came across as anything other, then apologies, , but you surely know my style by now. Always germane. Always contrary. P.S. Prize in the post. Second class, of course.
So, if this comes to fruition, will everything in the garden be Rosy, or will Rosy simply **** in all our gardens ?
Gary Rowett would return us to our hungry manager days. A similar type of appointment to Rodgers imo, in the sense of him being a young, hungry, ambitious manager. He did well at Birmingham more so when you look at the limited squad he had to work with, so you have to ask why was he sacked and Zola appointed in his place? Birmingham fans don't appear all that upset about his dismissal do they? Giggs, not sure but who is. He has more experience than most in the prem and he has been underling to SAF and van Gaal, so he does have an impressive CV for a manager without actually doing anything. I doubt he'd come after being snubbed for Bradley recently so I think his inclusion in the mix is just a Paddy Power excercise in making money. An interesting appointment if it happened but his success imo would be dependant on who he brings with him and who he appoints as his number two, it wont just be down to the famousely missing Welshman. Even less sure about Rednapp, he looks ill these days doesn't he? Would be interesting if he did come and brought Terry with him. Theres a song there just waiting to be sung. Whether its from the terraces or the media song book would depend on his performances. At 36 would Terry be our saviour or just a teriatric boulstering his pension. Would be an interesting signing to say the least. Pardew no way, what would, could he bring that would enhance our situation. Nothing is my answer to that. Besides, we'd only be looking for yet another manager in the summer if he did come. I think Rowett's got a good shot at this but with our owners it could just as well be Carl Robinson from the Vancouver Whitecaps
Old Harry might be the type to keep you up with talk of John Terry & Steven Caulker to shore up your defence. Problem is he comes with a lot of baggage.
" Never, in the field of human conflict, have so many " players become so impotent in such a short space of time. You have mentioned but three of them. Sad, sad, so very sad. I guess I'm feeling sad today. The Dave Clark 5 had a smash hit back in the 60's, where he was " feeling sad all over " I know how he feels.
Arry always looked I'll but whose available with as much experience and the names that could come in because of him ? Lampard, Terry and (Caulker feck no !) being mentioned ! If only here to keep us up this season ! Time is not on our side, Beggar's can't be choosers in our position and the better names mentioned are unlikely to want the hard work challenge that we are at the moment so an ugly to fight ugly for us by hook or by crook is needed now ? Arry Rednaps black n white Army ! Hide the money Lock up your wives With Arry and Terry we survives !
Of course it was. I still have the single. Poetic licence was in operation, my usual play on words, but this time you missed it. But, I'm so ' glad all over ' that other posters are familiar with it.
Stick Scholes, Butt and Neville on the field with Giggs and I'll name you another 4-5 players that they'd still be better than However, on a serious note, that highlights one of the main reasons we're in this mess, the quality of the squad.
I am starting to warm to the idea of Rednapp especially if he can get Terry here, I don't like the guy but he is, even at his age exactly what we need, a leader and he will certainly help our back 4.
