Yeah we should have got one of the other high calibre managers in who would have sorted everything out, theres loads of them out there apparently.
I wouldn't be surprised if we went back in for Marsch. By all accounts the reason why it fell through before was before we were only willing to give him a contract until the end of the season (and so why give up his severance pay from Leeds for that). Presumably whoever we appoint this time we'll be looking to give them a two or three year contract. Not sure I'd be jumping for joy at the prospect of him managing us, mind you. It's not going to be Potter or Rodgers. No chance. Forest have a nailed on three points coming their way on 8 May. So if they can find one other win from somewhere (and away to Chelsea isn't looking too terrifying right now), that might just be enough to keep them up - and hence keep Cooper out of our reach. I don't think West Ham will sack Moyes. Lampard is doing a cracking job of scaring off potential new suitors. I suppose Dyche might be back on the market, should he fail to keep Everton up. But if we didn't want him when we're at the bottom end of the PL, we surely wouldn't go anywhere hear him when we're looking to be at the top end of the Championship.
AI is the answer, quoting a letter in the Guardian's football daily who asked an AI chatbot to ‘write a team talk to inspire a football team that is losing at half-time’ and got the following response: ‘Alright team, listen up! I know the first half didn’t go the way we wanted it to, but we’re not out of this game yet. We still have another half to play, and that’s plenty of time to turn things around. Remember why you’re here, why you love this game. You’re here because you’re warriors, you’re fighters, and you don’t give up when the going gets tough. You’ve trained hard for this moment, you’ve sacrificed so much to get here, and you’re not going to let a little adversity get in your way. So let’s put the first half behind us. Let’s forget about the mistakes we made and focus on what we need to do to win. We need to play smarter, we need to play harder, and we need to play as a team. We need to support each other, communicate, and give it our all on every single play. I believe in each and every one of you. I know that you have what it takes to win this game. So let’s go out there and show them what we’re made of! Let’s come back in the second half with fire in our bellies, and let’s show everyone that we are a force to be reckoned with. Remember, this is our game, our time, and our moment. Let’s seize it, let’s own it, and let’s come out on top! Are you with me? Let’s do this!’ Yup, could see some human managers being worried by that”
I want Lincs as manager and Os as assistant manager Both on this forum and we can let them know what they are doing wrong, what system we should be playing, what side they should putting out etc etc etc problem solved. We will be champions league winners in a couple of seasons.
You can take the training sessions, I don’t think I’m fit enough to lead them… too many beers drowning my sorrows. But tactically I do think that 99% of fans could do better than the **** we served up against Bournemouth. It was a shambles.
Interesting read. I don`t think Miovski wouldn`t cut it in the Premier League - not sure he would in the Championship either. He`s on form now, but there were several months he was completely anonymous. He would be cheap, by Saints standards - £2M maybe - that`s a huge sum for Aberdeen btw! From what I`ve seen of Tall Paul so far, Miovski wouldn`t be any worse however, at a fraction of the cost.
Looks like Cooper will stay at Forest (he'd be my #1) Carrick has done a great job at Boro and has a big reputation in the game but will probably stay if they go up.
Luton are going up, obviously. So yeah, Carrick is my choice. As for a striker, we should buy Akpom. Proven in Championship and Carrick knows how to use him. Let's not f*ck about anymore with complete unknowns. That's what got us in trouble in the first place.
