I thought onuachu looked ok with the ball at his feet. I suspect his lack of running is keeping him out. AArmstrong does far more running, for instance.

Could we try and poach Will Still? I think he would be a fantastic appointment.

Rasmus would cream himself at the mere thought of appointing the FM manager.

Yeah I didn’t mean it in a good way. Selles thinks running = winning.

Apparently Brenda Rogers arrived in Soton on private jet today and whisked away in limo…

I don’t want to be tedious and say anything negative. But I hope this is a fake rumour.

I’m sure it happened from the mate that told me - he went on to say he was probably just off to Sandbanks.

Out of interest, Os, what's wrong with Brenda? I know he's not fashionable, but he's a level or two above the likes or Sean Dyche and Jesse Marsch, who I think most fans would have been content with after Jones was sacked.

And who would be your ideal choice?

I am not convinced that fans would take too kindly to Saints appointing Jesse Marsch. I think he wouldbe a risky appointment and would take Rodgers in advance of him everty day of the week. However, I was talking to a Leicester fan a few weeks back and there was a suggestion that Rodgers' people skills had alienated him from some of his players. Is this really the kind of personality we want as the new manager ?
