Would of wanted a young manager I.e manning etc just like Potter by Brighton not some unemployed has been.
Where is the ambition by the club, is that too kick to expect?.
Hes not a has been, his team finished 8th last season in the championship which is impressive considering he has no money n the youngster squad in the league

Has anybody pointed out that Tony Mowbray, of all the names mentioned, is the only one to get promoted out of this division?

He’s potentially both a short term stabilising appointment and a long term progressing appointment. This idea that you have to be under 45 to manage nowadays is absurd.

Well for what it's worth he'll do for me.
We just need to feel our feet in this league, we got off to a good start but dropped off a bit lately. Can see Mowbray getting us nice a comfortably lower end of top ten which in the real world would be great after our past 4 seasons.
Not the most exciting but we've had our slice of that this year so steady away will do me.
Crawl before you walk etc.
It’s nice to read a sane persons comment <ok>

not who i wanted and a name that doesn't get you excited
but on paper

he fits the system
plays similar football
been watching us all season
and has brought some young players through

hopefully he can get us stable in the championship

Just a catching up and you might have been asked this already, but is there any reason he has been watching us all season?

Which part of the below is it that makes people think he’s worse than Grayson / Parkinson etc?

from his Wikipedia bio…

At the start of 2008, Mowbray's young Albion team topped the table, receiving growing plaudits from the media[15] and supporters alike for their attractive brand of attacking one touch passing football, a reflection of Mowbray's staunch footballing philosophy.[citation needed]

Mowbray guided West Brom to the EFL Championship title, meaning promotion to the Premier League and reached the semi-final of the FA Cup.

Speakman, KLD, Dodds, and Proctor here for the U21s. No Mowbray.

Getting beat 3-0 too.
