For me coaching is a team effort. The guys at the top makes decisions on match days, and set the tone for training. But quite often the real detail comes from your assistants. It is the assistants that often design and run sessions, with the head coach observing, and influencing when they see some coaching point. The assistants are the guys a head coach goes to for the donkey work on the grass, and often to keep the mood right.Interesting you mention his back room staff and then coming with him?
Is there a particular reason for this?
That backs up everything Prehab has said and is getting **** for.You must log in or register to see images
This is true, of course, but it suggests to me that the club didn't really think he was worth it.
I'd assume LJ got the bullet because they thought he should be getting more out of the squad, so a coach coming in and doing what they already thought was achievable obviously didn't buy AN that much credit. I'm sure the KLD family are more than used to paying crazy money for the right manager in their other businesses.
Basically, I don't think these guys are in a rush and they won't be investing huge money in a coach because they don't think its necessary. They believe they've put the necessary infrastructure and investment in place to achieve in line with expectations and the head coach just needs to come in and execute.
Thanks for the reply, it's not often people recognise the team behind the figurehead. For me coaching is a team effort. Manning has added some key people to his team at MK. To really hit the ground running, and to ensure we get the real coaching style from MK Dons, Manning will be only be a key part of that, others will make up a big slice of the team
So thats Stoke under FFP restrictions? That backs up everything Prehab has said and is getting **** for.
It's okay shouting 'budget' 'sustainable' 'living within our means'. -. What exactly is our budget when we can't compete with Stoke City on wages for a manager?
We clearly didn't value a guy who had us promoted and sitting top 6 in the championship.
I have said this before and it is probably not too relevant. I have seen him coach and it looked excellent. It looked high intensity but a lot of fun too, and players want it to be fun. His coaches were all in tune and the whole thing looked very good. It was a while ago though. His reputation, amongst coaches at least, is very high. Regarded as an attack minded coach, 433, with a great manner with players. Also is supposed to be good with young players. There seem to be a few on here who wont accept him ever because he is ex Boro, but hopefully 99% arent so motivated. Super Dav came and we loved him...I really don't want Mowbray. Some Boro mates, one an ex pro, really rate him. Can't fathom it

Speakman doesn't think he is worth it. That's basically it. And I disagree massively on it.

Just a suggestion and please.dont take this the wrong way, but you disagree with what has happened and are in a position where you hear things.Speakman doesn't think he is worth it. That's basically it. And I disagree massively on it.

But your feelings towards Speakman are coming across massively and you certainly have intimated it was more than money and also hinted at palyer unrest.
Maybe now is not the time to pass on things especially as it appears tinged with a personal view
