I really don't want Mowbray. Some Boro mates, one an ex pro, really rate him. Can't fathom it

For me coaching is a team effort. The guys at the top makes decisions on match days, and set the tone for training. But quite often the real detail comes from your assistants. It is the assistants that often design and run sessions, with the head coach observing, and influencing when they see some coaching point. The assistants are the guys a head coach goes to for the donkey work on the grass, and often to keep the mood right.

Manning has added some key people to his team at MK. To really hit the ground running, and to ensure we get the real coaching style from MK Dons, Manning will be only be a key part of that, others will make up a big slice of the team

That backs up everything Prehab has said and is getting **** for.

It's okay shouting 'budget' 'sustainable' 'living within our means'. -. What exactly is our budget when we can't compete with Stoke City on wages for a manager?

We clearly didn't value a guy who had us promoted and sitting top 6 in the championship.

Thanks for the reply, it's not often people recognise the team behind the figurehead.

Bit like o Neil without his assistant (forget his name) or Clough without Taylor

I have said this before and it is probably not too relevant. I have seen him coach and it looked excellent. It looked high intensity but a lot of fun too, and players want it to be fun. His coaches were all in tune and the whole thing looked very good. It was a while ago though. His reputation, amongst coaches at least, is very high. Regarded as an attack minded coach, 433, with a great manner with players. Also is supposed to be good with young players. There seem to be a few on here who wont accept him ever because he is ex Boro, but hopefully 99% arent so motivated. Super Dav came and we loved him...

This is true, of course, but it suggests to me that the club didn't really think he was worth it.

I'd assume LJ got the bullet because they thought he should be getting more out of the squad, so a coach coming in and doing what they already thought was achievable obviously didn't buy AN that much credit. I'm sure the KLD family are more than used to paying crazy money for the right manager in their other businesses.

Basically, I don't think these guys are in a rush and they won't be investing huge money in a coach because they don't think its necessary. They believe they've put the necessary infrastructure and investment in place to achieve in line with expectations and the head coach just needs to come in and execute.[/QUOTE]

Speakman doesn't think he is worth it. That's basically it. And I disagree massively on it.

Employing Alex Neil does that to them? I don't know, does it?

Just a suggestion and please.dont take this the wrong way, but you disagree with what has happened and are in a position where you hear things.

But your feelings towards Speakman are coming across massively and you certainly have intimated it was more than money and also hinted at palyer unrest.

Maybe now is not the time to pass on things especially as it appears tinged with a personal view

Neil did talk a good game and seemed to be very astute. Looking at how calm and collected he was before the play off final was great as well. In hindsight, though, was that calm/cool demeanour because he didn’t really give a **** about the club?

As with any coach they'll be judged on results. I don't care who it is I just want one who will stick around and be allowed to get on with it. If it's Tony Mowbray so be it, he's seems a no nonsense bloke and let's face it we've tried allsorts..(no!) Being ex Boro doesn't bother me as they're not local rivals imo.....as its not a 'derby' I'll back whoever.

I have said before how much I respect your info, and more importantly your opinion. You might be right here, but I am not so sure on this occassion mate. Money definitely a factor, but I dont think we can underestimate the new JD he has - manager not head coach. Anyway, I have banged on enough about it, he has gone, and next appointment what matters now. If KLD thinks Speakman is operating outside of the mandate he has given him, I am sure we will see a change in that role too.

It backs nowt up, it's just my personal observation/opinion.

Also, we've played 6 games (won 2) and we're 12th, hardly sitting pretty.

For the record, I, like everyone else, was happy with the job AN was doing. All I am saying is that it appears the club think he's very replaceable. Time will tell.

Not personal. Not my fault if people take it that way. Speakman has rolled the dice. We have lost Neil and will appoint someone inferior. Given that Speakman has overseen it all and we now have an academy that is ghost down, scraping past cat 1 status with recommendations to improve, no academy manager, no under 21 manager, no first team manager, I think he has to be questioned.

We are in a fortunate position in this league and he is rolling the dice massively. Let's see if it plays out.

Nowt person just feel he is not up to it and given the evidence above, I personally feel justified to have that opinion.

Fair enough mate, personally Neil did a great job getting us promoted but is hardly the second coming of Pep.

Let's see where we end up
